Zahra
About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Zahra and I’m a 4th year medic at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. Having been in your position, I can heavily empathise with the stressful process that is applying to medical/dentistry school. Often, I describe it as a hoop jumping process, with many barriers to get across – the admissions test, the interview, the personal statement and everything in-between. I look forward to guiding you through this process so it isn’t as overwhelming as it could be. Having gone through this process successfully at different universities – Oxford, UCL, Cardiff – I have gained a wide breadth of knowledge and experience in different admissions tests and different styles of interview. Additionally, I work with my university in the access and outreach department and so have become very familiar with the ins and outs of the Oxbridge application process specifically, and so will be more than happy to demystify this process. I look forward to meeting you soon!
My teaching style
I don’t have a set teaching style – it varies significantly from student to student depending on their needs and how best they learn. This ranges from very interactive lessons that often feel more like a conversation to lecture style lessons where I do a lot of the explaining and students can interrupt at points where they don’t understand. As I personally am a very visual learner, I will always use colours, annotations and whiteboards to assist the learning of the student.
