About Me
I am an international medical student at the University of New South Wales, hoping to complete all 6 years of the course in Australia. Communication, speaking and teaching are skills I am confident in, especially after completing 10 years of LAMDA (the oldest British English and Drama school) with Distinction Awards, and also becoming the secretary of my university’s internationally competitive Debater’s Club. I plan on preparing students for UCAT ANZ, the Australian Medical Interview, or IELTS. Due to my commitments to medical school, I will only accept two students to ensure that I can provide the best care without hindering my own obligations. It is important that prospective students respect my time as I will respect yours; homework and research must be completed if I assign them as we work towards your exam.
My teaching style
My teaching style varies with each subject. For the interview process, it revolves around brainstorming content for your interview, and using our ideas to tackle the harder questions that require you to differentiate yourself from other medical students. I will also help you structure your content so you come off as organized, and will provide mock interviews with extra questions to ensure you won’t be surprised during the real interview.
As for UCAT ANZ, I will teach for 2 hours, provide reasonable homework to ensure we make progress, and am open to receiving your questions throughout the week, through WhatsApp. The main purpose of this is to ensure we make progress as we work towards the UCAT exam.
My past experience
I have 7 years teaching experience and 4 years private tutoring experience under IGCSE/GCSE subjects. It should be noted that my own mother is a teacher and my grandmother is a student counselor. Teaching and working with students is something I have grown accustomed to.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements has been organizing an international debate tournament that had more than 200 participants from 12 time zones across the world. During this event, I was Director of Public Relations for Taylor’s University Debaters and therefore part of the Organizing Committee of the tournament.
