Hello there! I am so excited to embark on this language-learning journey with you. My name is Jillian, and I am a professional language educator with a Bachelor of Education and over four years of experience in the classroom. Currently serving as a Head of Department, I have spent my career mastering the art of making language acquisition both structured and incredibly fun. While my roots are in teaching French (FLE), my passion for communication has naturally led me to the world of ESL, where I help students unlock their potential in English.
Beyond my academic background, I am a firm believer in the Social Method of learning. I understand that the hardest part of a new language isn’t the grammar—it’s the courage to speak. I create a warm, high-energy environment where mistakes are simply stepping stones to fluency.

My teaching style
I don’t believe in dry, textbook-only lessons. Language is a living, breathing tool for connection, and my classroom reflects that. My methodology is built on three pillars:
1.The 80/20 Rule: My goal is to get you talking. I act as your linguistic coach, providing the framework and support so that you spend 80% of our time practicing and only 20% listening to lectures.
2.Creative Immersion: I love bringing the arts into our sessions. Whether we are using music to perfect your rhythm and phonetics or using drama-based techniques to build your conversational confidence, I ensure every lesson is dynamic and memorable.
3. Structure Meets Innovation: As a digital creator and organizational specialist, I bring a high level of clarity to our curriculum. You will never feel lost; every lesson is designed with clear goals and interactive tools to track your progress.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is my rapid progression to Head of Department within four years, where I lead curriculum design and teacher mentorship. I am equally proud of successfully integrating music and drama into my language lessons, which has transformed hesitant students into confident, fluent speakers who truly enjoy the process of learning.
