Hello! My name is Hikari.
I have four years of overall teaching experience. After completing my master’s degree, I aspire to become a full-time teacher. During this time, I have taught a wide range of courses, including GCSE Economics, GCSE Business Studies, A/level Economics, A/level Business Studies, IELTS, phonics, Eiken, Business English, and conversation.
As soon as I graduated from school, many students approached me to tutor them in Economics and business studies. I then began tutoring A/Level and O/Level Economics and Business Studies. All of the students I’ve taught so far have excelled in their Edexcel and Cambridge exams. Last year, one of my students won the subject prize.
During my academic journey, I have had the opportunity to study Economics at both the GCSE and A-Level levels, following the curriculum offered by prestigious examination boards such as Cambridge and Edexcel. I enjoy teaching Business Studies mainly. My experience in Economics has been enriching and insightful, allowing me to develop a solid understanding of fundamental economic principles and concepts. I am excited to share my knowledge and expertise as a tutor. With a passion for teaching and a strong grasp of economic principles, I am well-equipped to guide students through the complexities of the subject. My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex concepts into easily digestible parts, providing real-world examples to enhance understanding, and fostering critical thinking skills. I am dedicated to creating a supportive learning environment that encourages active participation and growth. By choosing me as their Economics tutor, students can expect engaging lessons, personalized attention, and the tools necessary to excel in their exams and develop a deep appreciation for the subject.
I worked as a full-time teacher at a reputable international school. In addition to full-time teaching, I spent nearly two years teaching volunteers, primarily Japanese students residing in Japan, as well as overseas communication and other skills. I have also earned three diplomas to provide my students with the greatest education possible. I continued to become a TEFL/TESOL certified teacher. Teaching has become my favorite place to share my knowledge and assist students in their growth.

Hi there! My name is Grace and I have recently finished a French Literature MSt at Keble College, Oxford, for which I received a Distinction. I also completed a History and French BA for my undergraduate at Somerville College, Oxford and got a First Class. I’ve been tutoring for several years now so I have lots of experience, and I really enjoy being able to help students wherever I can. I’ve always put my academic studies first, and I know how important it is to do your best in exams; I find it extremely rewarding when I can help students to achieve this. Having got all A*s in GCSE and A-Level, and successfully passed through Oxford’s rigorous admissions process, I know first-hand what is required to do well at all of these stages. I also really enjoy teaching students and hope that my enthusiasm will make their sessions enjoyable – I’ve always seen myself becoming a teacher!
I have an enhanced DBS check and am safeguarding trained.

Hi, I’m Fran! I am a postgraduate student at UCL, studying for MSc Science Technology and Society, which I hope to finish in 2024. In 2022, I graduated with a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, where I specialised in Materials Science in my final year. I’m super passionate about science, and love science communication and policy-making. In my spare time, I enjoy rock-climbing, reading, board games, and music.
I have been tutoring privately for around 5 years now, and I love it! I enjoy spreading my passion for science and love discussing new and interesting topics and issues in science with my students. I think it’s really important to engage children and young people with science, to encourage the next generation of medics, mathematicians, scientists, and engineers.
Hello! My name is Tareef and I am currently a 2nd year student studying at the University of Oxford.
For some context, I attended an underperforming state school for my secondary school (only 25% of students get a grade 5 in English and Maths), yet I managed to achieve the highest results in my school (5 grade 9’s and 3 grade 8’s). Whilst studying for my GCSEs, I found out that tutoring other students also helped me reinforce my learning and I realised I enjoyed helping my peers also succeed by teaching them the trickier concepts on a 1-to-1 basis that they would otherwise have not received.
After my GCSEs, I was fortunate enough to get a full scholarship to my local grammar school, which is where I did my A-Levels – achieving grades of A*A*A*A. The Sixth Form provided great tailored support throughout my Oxford application, and I hope to provide this support to capable students who have not been fortunate enough to receive the same level of support.
I am Uday Modhwadia, a recent graduate of the prestigious University of Cambridge. My academic journey at Cambridge has equipped me with a solid foundation in Economic Geography and urbanism, which I am eager to apply in a professional capacity. One of my key strengths is my ability to dissect and comprehend intricate themes within various subfields of geography, including post-colonial studies.
My time at Cambridge was a transformative experience that instilled in me a profound appreciation for the significance of education and knowledge dissemination. It is this appreciation that fuels my desire to work as a tutor, guiding and inspiring others to unlock their full potential and attain their academic aspirations.
I firmly believe that education is a powerful tool for personal growth and societal progress. Through my tutoring efforts, I aspire to play a role in enhancing the educational journeys of students worldwide. My goal is to empower them with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their studies and, ultimately, in their lives.
With a deep commitment to education and a passion for sharing knowledge, I am confident that I can make a meaningful impact in the lives of those I have the privilege to mentor. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the academic success and personal development of students across the globe.

Hi there!
My name is Ruairi (think roar-ree). I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with, among other things, a first-class with distinction in my dissertation on public policy. Throughout my time at Cambridge, I have taken papers spanning development, economics, law, and policy. I am combining the knowledge and skills I gained during my undergraduate degree to become a corporate lawyer at a global, Top 20 AM Law firm.
In the meantime, I would like to tutor you! I have thoroughly enjoyed tutoring in the past and believe I can help you excel in a wide range of subjects. I would also be more than happy to help with applications and interviews, be that to universities or to law firms. More generally, I can give you advice on navigating college/sixth form, university, and the corporate world, based on my past successes (and failures!).
Outside of academia and work, I like to watch Arsenal and international rugby. I am also hoping to get back into gym and kickboxing in the new academic year, as well as jewellery-making.
I hope to hear from you soon – please do reach out if you are interested!
I’m Daniel, a 4th year UCL medical student. For the past 6 years I have perfected my skills as a tutor through attending many teaching courses both within military organisations and civilian, so that I can help others get what they want through the subjects I provide services in. Having come from a poor state school and being the only person to apply for medicine in my school, I understand how tough the process is, especially with no help. That is why I want to deliver high quality, efficient tutoring to help others achieve their full potential and act as a mentor/guide so that no questions are left unanswered and students have a clear view on how to achieve their goals. I work very systematically starting looking at all topics generally and assessing abilities then honing in on students weaknesses whilst pushing them in all over topics so they don’t fall behind, leaving no stones unturned and honing on students weaknesses and turning them into strengths. My purpose it to motivate students, teach them topics they struggle to understand and analysing their patterns of answering to correct logic teaching them skills so they can succeed in any exam or interview they attend.
Here is a review that best describes the process:
”Daniel has an amazing attention to detail. He tutored me for my BMAT exams, and his experience in this area was both extensive and insightful. We spent a lot of time on the tricky section 3 essay questions, where he showed his wealth of knowledge on multiple question topics and allowed me to garner the confidence I needed to feel good about my essay answer in the exam.As well as being a superb educator, he is also an extremely amiable person, rich in thoughtfulness and went out of his way to accommodate my timetable as much as he could, despite his own busy schedule. We also had good talks about related topics, about university in the UK, about social life in his university, all things that set my mind at ease and made me very comfortable about the BMAT process. I never felt alone through what is, admittedly, quite an arduous process. While my exam is done, I have high hopes of getting interviews from the courses I chose. I look forward then to Daniel’s help once again, to help me hone my interview skills. I feel very fortunate to have met with Daniel; he has been inspirational and to me and I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for help with their studies.”
Hi there! My name is Afzaa and I am currently a first year medical student. Looking back a few years, I was exactly in the same position as you were and I can totally empathise with how stressful, hectic and pressurising GCSEs/A-levels and the university admission process can be. Therefore, I look forward to working with you by providing tips, tricks and advice on all things such as maths, biology and chemistry, interview skills and medicine admission process (interview skills and personal statement). I will also provide tips on exam technique and advice on how to revise effectively during exam season. I am very friendly and approachable; if you have any questions throughout the week, you are more than welcome to drop a text or email so we can discuss any queries for future sessions.
All the best.
