Hi 👋 I’m Kara, a History and Politics graduate from Brasenose college, Oxford! I am super passionate about all things History and Politics as well as International Relations, English literature and Economics. I am available to help students with a wide range of challenges, from Economics A-level to achieving full marks in an EPQ. Outside of studying, I enjoy travelling, reading fiction and all types of exercise, especially the gym and I am a firm believer in having a great work life balance. After studying independently for many months during the pandemic and missing GCSEs, I am in a unique position to understand the mental stress placed on high achieving students who have missed large parts of their education; as your tutor I will do everything I can to support you academically and emotionally. Julia studies Global Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick (UK) and completed a study abroad year in Tinghua University (China). She achieved 44 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma whilst engaging in a range of extracurriculars. She is currently an active member in a range of academic, social and cultural societies and sports clubs.

Achievements:
Julia previously held the positions of: Vice President of Warwick Association of British and Chinese University student, President of the Warwick First Aid Society and Unit Manager of the Warwick University Unit with St John’s Ambulance.

Julia has been in youth programmes and youth projects facilitated by Peabody. In the London International Model United Nations (LIMUN) – UN Environment Programme (UNEP) committee, she won the Best Delegate Award and Daniel Page Scholarship. Julia has also completed the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award and courses with the Princes’ Trust in Woodland Management and Nature Conservation. Julia has also completed a traineeship in Business Development.

Interests:
Julia enjoys learning about different cultures from language, to dance and food. Julia enjoys cooking, ice skating and Brazilian Jiujitsu.

I have graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A* in English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, with 5 A*S, 4 Grade 9s and a Grade 8 in GCSEs.

For the past few years, I have been a private tutor which has also entailed mentoring young students and seeing them progress and achieving their dream spots at their universities. This has enabled me to build client relationships and to handle multiple concurrent tasks, since I balanced tutoring with my ability to thrive in Oxford’s rigorous academic environment. I also believe that I work well under time constraints and to meet deadlines, which is an ability that my time at Oxford has prepared me well for.

I am well-placed to provide tuition at 11 and 13+, as well as English Language, English Literature and RE GCSE, A-Level and degree-level tuition. I am also up-to-date on examination syllabi and the requirements needed for achieving top marks.

I have tutoring experience in GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Religious Studies and Oxbridge Classics admissions. I also mentor students in application for Oxbridge Classics, as I changed degrees in my third year, and assisted a student in her successful entrance to Oxford for Classics via personal statement, interview/test advice and general information about the course and university life. Therefore, I am available to support Oxbridge Classics admissions.

A dedicated, experienced Educator and Facilitator with a strong background in project management, report writing, international and digital education. My passion lies in helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve growth and success. With a blend of leadership expertise, coaching skills and planning, I am committed to empowering others to reach their full potential. I maintain enhanced disclosure on the DBS update service for current and prospective roles. I’ve worked in school and online settings, plus developed and delivered programmes. As such, I understand end to end course cycles, assessments and individual learning styles.
Currently I am a Specialist ASC Mentor supporting Autistic Spectrum students online and in person (one to one, weekly sessions). This is highly individual in scope, depending on student needs, also covering academic, social, wellbeing and organisation support.

Outside of tutoring, I have taken part in photography exhibitions in Seoul, mainly of documentary photography and graphic design.

Hello, my name is Areeba Salman and I am currently completing my MSc in Bioinformatics at the University of Nottingham, having previously graduated with a BSc in Biotechnology. Alongside my academic journey, I have several years of tutoring experience, teaching Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English to students from KS1 through to A-levels, both in the classroom and online. I also have SEND teaching experience, which has taught me how to adapt my methods to meet different learning needs and support students in building confidence as well as knowledge.

My teaching style is supportive, patient, and tailored—I break down complex topics into simple steps, encourage interactive learning, and celebrate progress to keep students motivated. Many of my students have improved their grades significantly and gained places at top institutions. I am flexible with my availability and can teach during weekdays, evenings, or weekends depending on student needs. I am passionate about helping young people achieve their potential and making learning engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding.

Hi! I’m an enthusiastic English and Drama tutor based in London. I personally went through the iGCSE and IB systems, so I know exactly what you are going through with your academics! But my skills and teaching styles are adaptable for all kinds of curriculums and age groups.

I finished secondary school with a 41 in the IBDP, with 7s in HL Theatre and English Language & Literature. In 2023, I graduated from UCL with a degree in English and multiple academic commendations throughout my time. I was taught to think beyond the mark scheme and to learn a skill that is specific to the way we each see the world – and this is the way I teach.

I can also tutor for drama school (musical theatre), UCAS/US university personal statements. Outside of tutoring, I am a professional actor who has also worked in the advertising world.
