Portugese Tutors : 1-1 Portugese Preparation

Hello! My name is Ana Vaz, I am a final year medical student at University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.
I have been in university for 7 years now, I did an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences at University of South Wales, UK for 3 years, and then applied to the Graduate Entry Medicine program which have been 4 long but fast-paced and exciting years! Therefore, I understand how student life is challenging at times, draining even and that extra help may make a big difference! I received tutoring for almost every my big exams, for A-Levels, IELTS, CAE (another english exam), GAMSAT and USMLE Step 1 (a very hard exam to apply to residency in the USA).
To tell you a bit more about myself, It was not always my dream to be a doctor, I only fell in love with Medicine when I was in secondary school, when I realised that being a doctor is a life-long contract of acts of service, where I am constantly being challenged academically, professionally, and emotionally. Every day is different. I never quit, I just try different approaches when something does not work, and I always do my best in everything I get involved with.
I am an aspiring Paediatric Surgeon, having done sub-internships in Paediatric Surgery at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital in Cardiff, UK and also at Yale Children’s New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, USA. I am part of UCD Paediatric Society, having been appointed Teddy Bear Hospital Coordinator for the year 22/23 and I am also a Surgery Skills Tutor and Conference Officer at UCD Surgical Society.
I have worked as a Residential Assistant at UCD Residences, having to manage 56 apartments and I worked as a Carer in Cardiff with Helping Hands.
On my free time I love to watch Netflix (who doesn’t?), read, go to the beach and hike. I am also a cat-mom.

Hi! My name is Carlota, and I am a 2nd year Politics, Philosophy, Law and Economics student at IE University in Madrid. I’ve always considered myself a studious and academic person, and thus, over the years, I believe I have developed good study habits and mechanisms, that I would love to share with others. I am quite a goal-oriented person, and thus, in the first few lessons, I always like to establish goals and objectives with the student and then systematically build a plan to achieve them based on the student’s availability and willingness. Being the oldest of 3 sisters, I have experience teaching younger kids, which has allowed me to develop patience. I also have experience being a student mentor and being president of the French club at my highschool, in which I helped a group of students with French difficulties, so I am comfortable working with kids regarding academic matters. I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge in Modern and Medieval Languages (Spanish and German) with Double First Class Honours and Special Excellence in Spanish Oral. Prior to attending Cambridge, I achieved A* in Spanish, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics A-Level. I am a friendly, hard-working, and dedicated tutor who enjoys encouraging others to study and work towards their academic goals while simultaneously boosting their confidence. I am well-placed to provide tuition for Mathematics up to GCSE and Spanish up to A Level, having previously helped students improve their grades in these subjects. I also mentor students in the application process for Oxbridge Modern and Medieval Languages; I am experienced in providing clear and detailed feedback on personal statements, interview and test advice, and general information regarding the course and university life.

Hi I’m Johanna and I am a current first year medical student on the Graduate Entry Medicine course at Swansea. I previously studied Anthropology Bsc and Creative Health Masc at UCL in London.

I made the jump from a humanities background to Medicine and prepped for the GAMSAT, received full offers to interview at St George’s (SGUL), Swansea and Nottingham and received all of the offers post-interview. I know how daunting it can be to apply for Medicine, especially Graduate Entry where there is a lot more independent preparation, so I would be very happy to help anyone who is now embarking on this journey.

Hi! My name is Beatriz and I am a 2nd Year Medical Student at HYMS. I really enjoy teaching others and the satisfaction of seeing someone you mentored excel. This is my 3rd year tutoring now after I has begun in college at the start of Year 13. Since then I have gone on to tutor many amazing students who have gone on to achieve incredible A-Level and GCSE grades.

I achieved all A* at A-Level in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. I also did 11 GCSE’s, including separate sciences and maths, and achieved all grades of 8 and 9.
