Oxbridge Application Tutors : 1-1 Oxbridge Application Preparation

My name is Abena and I’m a 5th year medical student at the University of Oxford. As well as spending a large amount of time on my academic career, I have also dedicated myself to my tutoring ability with over 6 years of tutoring experience. Through my years of experience I have been able to improve my teaching skills and encounter a number of ways to assist a student in the their chosen subject allowing me to tailor sessions for the student in front of me. Furthermore, I’m a friendly, enthusiastic tutor, who enjoys helping students achieve their academic goals with discipline and consistency. Education has always been a huge priority in my life and I’ve had teachers who have helped me immensely with my motivation and performance, something I hope to pass on to my future students.

Apart from tutoring, I enjoy cheerleading for my university, I’m also president of two societies Oxford Black Medics Society and learn Spanish in my free time.

Fun fact: My name means I was born on a Tuesday.

Hi there, nice to meet you! My name is Ryan and I’m one of the tutors at Study Mind, who is, at the time of writing, a fourth year medical student. My motivation to work at Study Mind stems from my own personal experiences, in that I would not be where I am without the support that I had when I was applying, so being able to give students that opportunity is something that I would be most grateful to have! Outside of academia I have quite a number of interests that I am pursuing – including learning languages and running, and hopefully soon, learning to play the guitar! Reasons why you should have me as your tutor would be that I’m very focused and detail-oriented, but also someone who can quite relaxed, patient and adaptable. Hi there, my name is Ronan Goss and I am a recent 1st class land economy graduate at the university of Cambridge. Since I was 16 I have tutored various students in a range of subjects and levels, including mathematics, business and economics. Since then I have worked with a range of students for both GCSE and A-level, and I can work with exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, IB, and WJEC. More recently I have tutored 8 students who have applied to Land Economy at Cambridge, assisting in personal statement writing, admission tests, and interview preparation. Some of these students have started or will be starting at Cambridge, with many others securing places at the UK’s most prestigious universities.

In my spare time I love to travel, and I am currently living in and around Portugal tutoring remotely. After travelling I have an offer to join a leading consulting firm based in the UK.
