I am currently intercalating in MSc Health Data (Global Health specialisation), having completed four years of medical school and the Medical Licensing Assessment. I aspire to specialise in paediatrics, with a subspeciality interest in infectious diseases and immunology. I entered Lancaster Medical School with a scholarship in 2019 and have since undertaken senior responsibilities at the University level (Complaints Panellist) and faculty level (Lead Academic Representative – Lancaster Medical School). I have been recognised for services to the University and coordinated student-led medical research projects.
Applying to medical school in the United Kingdom can be a complex process, particularly for those with no familial connections to healthcare. Having first-hand experience of this, I am proactive and always willing to support aspiring applicants from all backgrounds to make sure they have the best chance at getting a place. I am well aware that this can also be an anxious time for the parents and loved ones. I am always happy to answer any questions, day or night, to help resolve any concerns.

Hello there, my name is Sam and I’m a second year medical student at St Georges. I am very familiar with the struggles of the UCAT and medical school preparation, and so I am passionate about helping people achieve their dreams of getting in. I am friendly, kind, approachable and enthusiastic about teaching. I like to build a strong partnership with my students so that they feel as confident as possible throughout there application process. I quite enjoy the nature of the UCAT and the problem solving aspect of it, however I am rather understanding that it may not be too enjoyable for students who are under immense time pressure and pressure in general (a position I was also once in!).
If you choose to work with me, I will make sure not only are you best prepared to sit the exam, but your confident and relaxed going in, something which is extremely important.
