Hi – I’m Rituraj, I recently graduated from a Masters in Maths and Philosophy at Oxford – and I obtained a first class degree. I achieved 5 A* at A-level and 11 9s at GCSE.

I have four years of tutoring experience – focusing on mathematics, philosophy and science tutoring for Oxbridge admissions/Olympiad/A-Levels/GCSEs/school admissions. This includes extracurricular mathematics, working through the syllabus, and interview prep.

I am interested in being a tutor because I am passionate about spreading my love of academia, and sparking an interest in the topics I myself am interested in. Having had previous experience in education, in both one-to-one personal tutoring and teaching in a structured class environment, I am certain this is my career path of choice, and this would be the perfect opportunity to further my career goals. I have taught at Akshar Foundation, an Indian Teaching NGO, for underprivileged students, to A-Level Standard, and WILS Language School, a Korean Hagwon, for Oxbridge entry, having taught A-Level Maths/English/Physics and further computational courses.

I’m a passionate tutor studying Politics at King’s College London, after earning A*AA in Psychology, English Literature, and Politics, with top GCSE grades. I also hold a Certificate of Higher Education in Journalism from Brunel University.

I’ve led political education workshops for young people aged 15–22, facilitated creative writing sessions, and worked as an editor for student publications. These roles sharpened my ability to adapt to different learning styles, break down complex ideas, and build student confidence.

I have been teaching in independent prep schools for over 10 years now, and have always tutored alongside my full-time teaching role. I worked as a head of department in a leading London Prep School for 7 years, and therefore have an in-depth knowledge of the London Senior School admissions process. I am now based in Essex, and happy to offer both face to face and online tutoring lessons. I have a real passion for Maths and Science and also have a proven track record for improving Engish comprehension skills. I find weekly hour-long lessons work best, and usually increase to 90 minutes sessions in the lead up to exams. I believe tutoring is benefical to every child due to the confidence it brings them and feeling of taking some control in what can otherwise be quite a challenging time.
