My name is Waleed. I have over fifteen years of professional working experience in accounting and finance, including 8.5 years at Big4 in audit and tax functions.
Adept at working with multinational organizations across sectors like oil and gas, manufacturing, services, and banking.

My experience includes a strong practical understanding of accounting, which I effectively translate into teaching. This involves applying and explaining various accounting frameworks, including IFRS, US GAAP, and UK GAAP.

Additionally, I have over 8-years of teaching experience as a freelance. Combining my working experience and teaching skills have strengthened my communication skills, problem solving abilities which enable me to leverage this competence to my student to achieve an outstanding outcome.

Also, between 2013 and 2016, I successfully provided coaching and tutoring in Saudi Arabia for candidates of the Saudi Organisation for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA), specifically in the Zakat and Tax subject.

I have over 10 years teaching experience. I teach accountancy, finance, investment, tax, maths & statistics in A level graduate and post graduate level. In addition, I teach high profile professional exam students for ACCA, ACA, CIMA, AAT, CTA, ATT, CISI, IMC and CFA. I also teach portfolio management, wealth management, corporate finance, financial reporting, quantitative method, econometrics, equity investment, fixed income, alternative investment, risk management, derivatives and foreign exchange. A Cambridge university first class engineering graduate, I’ve spent a lifetime immersed in the pursuit of educational excellence. 10 years as a tutor has seen me work with students from high school to masters and PhD, supporting them in a full spectrum of mathematics, science and engineering disciplines.

My approach to teaching is to focus on instilling deep understanding. I believe such understanding is open to any student provided they develop the right building blocks.
