I completed GCSEs in MathsEnglishScienceHistoryICTArt and Design and Textiles.

I completed an AS Level award in English Literature and A Levels in History, Psychology and Art and Design. I then achieved a 2:1 in BSc Applied Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. In 2018, I successfully completed a PGCert from the University of Birmingham in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, and in 2021 I qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.
I am a creative-thinking and motivated individual looking for a new challenge to broaden my horizons. I have previously worked as a psychological talking therapist, and I am also a qualified secondary teacher with extensive experience in schools; which has led me to my current role as an SEN tutor for adolescents who are refusing school attendance. My role is to provide them with the emotional support and encouragement needed to return to school, as well as helping them to learn and revise all curriculum material needed to pass their exams. I relish the opportunity to build positive relationships with others, as this is what motivates me, and I love to see meaningful changes which lead to bright futures; as a result of the work that myself and others have put in. I believe that in order to overcome any challenge, the first step is to identify the barriers to change. This requires the development of trusting relationships with students, as well as their parents and key staff members at their enrolled schools. Once these barriers are identified, we are able to collaboratively come up with a tailored plan to integrate students back into school.

Cambridge DegreeEnglish TutorProfessional Tutor7 Years Experience

I have been working as a professional tutor for nearly seven years. I graduated with a degree in HSPS from the University of Cambridge, and have been teaching a variety of humanities and English subjects ever since. I tutor English Language and Literature GCSE, Sociology A Level, Oxbridge admissions, as well as many other related-courses. Since 2020, I have adapted my work to a heavily online-based approach, though am available in person, particularly for summer school and teaching camps. Online, I utilise screensharing, PDF annotation, interactive whiteboards, shareable textbooks, past papers, and many other learning materials and worksheets that I have accumulated over the years, and in many cases technology that I have invested into, in order to make online tuition particularly engaging.

My name is Lola, I am a third year student of Italian and Spanish at the University of Oxford.

I was born in New York, but grew up attending an international IB school in Serbia.

I moved to London to complete the IB Diploma Programme, where I took Higher Level English Literature, Spanish B and History, alongside Standard Level Mathematics, Biology and Film. To my shock but not my teachers’, I managed to achieve the maximum 45/45 IB points.

I am currently on my Year Abroad and am studying Italian Literature for a semester at the UniversitĂ  di Bologna in Italy. After this, I plan to volunteer in either Spain or Latin America, before returning to Oxford for my final year.

Aside from my greatest passions of Italian and Spanish (both language and literature), I also like to dabble in journalism.

I’m a third year optometry student at Anglia Ruskin University, currently pursuing an Integrated Masters in Optometry. My journey in optometry has given me a solid foundation in both clinical and academic skills, allowing me to not only excel in my studies but also connect with others who are passionate about eye health and patient care. As President of the Optics Society, I’m dedicated to creating a supportive environment for my peers, organizing events like mock OSCEs, study sessions, and webinars. My focus is always on fostering a sense of community, where everyone feels encouraged to learn and grow together.

Alongside my optometry studies, I’m also a seasoned English tutor for GCSE-level students, specialising in language and literature. I believe in making learning enjoyable and accessible for all students, adapting my lessons to suit each individual’s learning style and goals. Whether it’s strengthening grammar skills, enhancing reading comprehension, or building confidence in essay writing, I work to ensure that students feel supported and motivated. My students know they can rely on me to make even challenging topics approachable and engaging, as I’m patient, approachable, and genuinely committed to their success.

I am passionate about both optometry and teaching, and I take pride in my ability to build a positive rapport with students and their families. With my experience, dedication, and personable approach, I’m excited to help students reach their fullest potential.

Hello! My name is Isaac and I’m a postgraduate student in Film and Screen Studies at the University of Cambridge. I previously studied at Cambridge for a BA in English, graduating with first-class honours in the summer of 2024.

Growing up, my mum was a teacher (albeit in Chemistry, so it’s safe to say that I’ve gone down a slightly different path!) and I was lucky enough to have so many brilliant teachers myself throughout my school years — so I know, from first-hand experience, how important informed guidance and positive encouragement can be in helping students to achieve their best. Having undertaken extra tutoring for my Maths GCSE, I also know that sometimes getting all of that in school isn’t quite enough — a little bit of extra help can go a long way!

Outside of academia, I enjoy drama, music, poetry, film, and taking long walks with my dog.
