I am a Masters University graduate who holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education whose specialties are in English and History. I teach secondary level students right up to post graduates. My areas of specialty are focused on anything related to English, be it language, literature or linguistics. I have over 3 years’ of experience in the education filed and can proudly attest to how well the students I’ve taught and tutored in the past have passed the subjects I’ve taught. I make sure that I cater to the needs of my student and tailor my lessons around their individual needs and capabilities. I am an avid believer of learner focused teaching in order to hear the views of the student. I am quite friendly and at the same time I also can be firm so that all objectives will be achieved in order for the student to grasp concepts and pass with excellent grades at the end of the day.

Hello! I’m Hortense, a native French speaker with over 10 years of experience teaching French and German in schools across the UK and Ireland. I hold a PGCE in MFL and a TEFL qualification, and I’m currently awaiting the results of my MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I teach online with Lingoda, working with adult learners from around the world at various levels, and I love creating engaging, interactive lessons that build confidence and real-world communication skills. I’ve also taught French creatively through cooking, drama, and PE classes, encouraging children to explore the language in fun, hands-on ways. My approach is student-centred and discovery-based—I guide learners to find patterns, form rules, and take ownership of their learning. During my MSc placement, I also offered counselling online, which deepened my ability to listen, adapt, and support people holistically. I speak several languages including Romanian, German, and Japanese, and I use this experience to empathise with and support language learners on their journey. George is a graduate of Oxford University with a flawless academic record, and has worked as a tutor in English for several years. He is passionate about discussing ideas and texts with students, and developing their knowledge of key texts and analytical and essay writing skills. His students have gone onto some of the top UK universities, including Oxbridge, and he has experience supporting personal statement writing, preparing for Oxbridge interviews, and assisting with IB and A-Level coursework and revision.

George has a first-class BA in English from Merton College, Oxford, and achieved a distinction in the MSt (1700-1830) in English. At Graduate level he was the recipient of a Clarendon Scholarship, and ranked #1 in his cohort. He is about to start an AHRC-funded PhD in English at Emmanuel College, Cambridge.

Hi, I’m Noor a 2nd year medical student with a passion for research, and education. Before starting med school, I gained experience in clinical placements, leadership, and communication through volunteering, research projects, and podcast discussions.
