Hello, I’m Talhah Bin-Islam—a highly driven biomedical science graduate preparing to begin Graduate Entry Medicine at the University of Nottingham. I am deeply passionate about education, academic excellence, and mentoring the next generation of achievers. I have extensive tutoring experience across a wide range of subjects, supporting students from 11+, KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-Level, and beyond. I also specialize in university preparation, including medical school applications at both undergraduate and graduate levels.

Currently, I am working with various groups of learners within the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, including Year 11 EFL, Year 11 ESL (Core), Junior Secondary (following the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint), and Cambridge International AS & A-Level (Literature in English). Additionally, I am a qualified CAIE Assessment Specialist Examiner for AS/A Level Literature in English 9695, AS/A Level English Language 9093 and First Language English 0500. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a student-centered learning environment that fosters independence, promotes diversity, and supports ongoing assessment and growth. I am well-versed in utilising resources and technology to enhance lessons, ensuring a secure subject knowledge for effective teaching.

Hello! I’m Elizabeth, a University of Cambridge graduate (June 2023) with a 1st class degree in Education, English, Drama and the Arts from Homerton College. My degree was very broad in scope, covering areas from Education Policy and International development, to Literature and Poetics studies, Sociology, Philosophy and Drama and Theatre History.
I also achieved A*s in English Literature and Drama and Theatre studies at A-Level, and an A in History.
I have a TEFL qualification, and experience teaching English and volunteering in classrooms (in the UK and in Thailand) as well as on a one-to-one basis.
I can also help with University applications and interview preparations, particularly for Humanities degrees at Oxbridge .
