I am deeply passionate about education, academic excellence, and mentoring the next generation of achievers. Hello everyone! My name is Megan and I am a friendly, motivating and fun tutor with over 10 years experience in the teaching field making me an oldie now, but a goodie!

My biggest passion in life is helping others grow in confidence, to enable them to see their potential and achieve their goals. I will do everything I can in my power to help you achieve. We will work together as a team and together, with a little nudge from me, we will make sure you can succeed. It might not happen over night, but we will find a way to get there together.

I have a background rooted in the creative and vocational sectors, but I also have a lot of transferrable skills and I have taught over a wide variety of academic subjects too. I specialise in Creative Writing and Art & Design, and I bring a hands-on, student-centred approach to every session.

I am an exceptional educator and experienced teacher of English language and Literature. I have a diverse background in teaching British qualifications, specifically Cambridge IGCSE, Edexcel International GCSE and IB. Currently, I am working with various groups of learners within the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, including Year 11 EFL, Year 11 ESL (Core), Junior Secondary (following the Cambridge Lower Secondary Checkpoint), and Cambridge International AS & A-Level (Literature in English). Additionally, I am a qualified CAIE Assessment Specialist Examiner for AS/A Level Literature in English 9695, AS/A Level English Language 9093 and First Language English 0500. My teaching philosophy revolves around creating a student-centered learning environment that fosters independence, promotes diversity, and supports ongoing assessment and growth. Hello! I’m Elizabeth, a University of Cambridge graduate (June 2023) with a 1st class degree in Education, English, Drama and the Arts from Homerton College. My degree was very broad in scope, covering areas from Education Policy and International development, to Literature and Poetics studies, Sociology, Philosophy and Drama and Theatre History.
I also achieved A*s in English Literature and Drama and Theatre studies at A-Level, and an A in History.
I have a TEFL qualification, and experience teaching English and volunteering in classrooms (in the UK and in Thailand) as well as on a one-to-one basis.
I can also help with University applications and interview preparations, particularly for Humanities degrees at Oxbridge .
It would be my pleasure to help you with any of the above areas, or I also offer general confidence building and public speaking sessions, having achieved distinctions in both Grade 8 LAMDA Acting and Public speaking.

8 years of experience in private tutoring. Taught students from primary school untill Undergraduate level. Experience of teaching Mathematics to students uphill GCSE. Science , Biology, Physics and Chemistry as well uptill GCSE. Business Management and administration up till Undergraduate and even professional level. My way of teaching is to understand the mindset of my students, understand their struggles, with my trait of empathy my students always open up with me and that’s exactly how I operate , because every student is different and their struggle is different, so there is no one single pattern to teach students . But as I understand my students struggles then I manage to create rite strategy to solve the problem. I do my regular monitoring to check performance by exams and homeworks, with the whole purpose to find out where more work is required. Prepare notes in form of points to make it easy for revision.
