No, you do not need to live in the UK to participate in this programme. It is open to students from all over the world who meet the age requirements and are interested in gaining valuable experience in economics.

This programme is advantageous for Year 12 students (aged 17-18) as it offers valuable work experience that can be incorporated into their UCAS personal statement for university applications. Moreover, students aged 16-18 and any individual between 14-25 years old can also derive benefits from participating in this programme.

Once reserved, the Economics Summer School booking is non-refundable. This policy is implemented because we must finalize arrangements for all logistics, including accommodation and room bookings. If you are uncertain about attending but desire to secure your spot, you have the choice to submit a non-refundable deposit of £500. The remaining payment will be required before the course commences.

Safety is our paramount concern at the Economics Summer School. Your child will be escorted by the Study Mind Safeguarding team for any required travel. While there may be travel between the accommodation and workshops or excursions, rest assured that your child will be fully accompanied throughout the entire journey.

You will be provided with single-room accommodation in Central London, where breakfast and dinner will be included. Your stay will commence on Sunday night, the day preceding the course's commencement, with check-out on Friday, amounting to 5 nights in total. The accommodation features 24/7 security, and Study Mind staff, trained in first aid and safeguarding, will be present on-site to assist you. Additionally, airport pick-up can be arranged for your convenience.

Students coming to the UK for the Economics Summer School will need a Standard Visitor visa- https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor

The Standard Visitor visa can only be applied for by parents/guardians and costs £100. They must apply through the UK Gov website only, You can name our course and Study Mind as the guardians of under 18s, and provide then the course information and booking confirmation when applying for the visa.

We recommend booking flights first before applying for the visa, as the visa needs proof of a return flight (the course end date might be enough, but might result in rejection).

The Economics summer camp runs for five days, commencing at 9 am and typically concluding around 3:30 pm each day. Nonetheless, you will be provided with a detailed timetable in advance, outlining precise timings for each activity. For those opting to stay at our accommodation, we have arranged enjoyable evening activities, such as movie nights, bowling, and various other engaging options, to enhance your experience beyond the classroom.
