ECAA Tutors : 1-1 ECAA Preparation

Hello! My name is Aroosa and I am a recent graduate from the University of Cambridge with a degree in Economics. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree and time at Cambridge and would love to be able to pass this on to other keen students.

I achieved 9 A*s and 3 As at GCSE. At A Level, I studied Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Biology where I achieved A*AAA.

I then went on to accept an offer from Cambridge University for an Economics undergraduate degree. As part of the admissions process for this, I sat the ECAA pre-interview assessment and then attended an interview. I gained several valuable insights from these and would love to share some advice with other budding Oxbridge applicants.

As part of my degree course, I studied modules including: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Labour, Industry, Economic History, Political Economics, and Development Economics.

I’m an Economics Graduate from the University of Cambridge (Trinity College) who currently works in finance (Credit). Born in Newcastle, but raised in Birmingham, I attended a selective state school where I was able to thrive and equipped with the skills that still aid me in professional life. I understand that the ability to perform well largely comes from the confidence that comes from having a well built world view, and that only through active approaches can one have the security of understanding to excel in challenging and unexpected situations.

I have plenty of experience teaching others, not only as a tutor, but also as a tennis and chess coach in my youth and to incoming cohorts of interns professionally. I’ve been fortunate to work with many types of people, and have some amazing professors and teachers in the past, trying to incorporate the methods that I’ve been educated with,
