Dear Students and Parents,
I am Sakinah, a dedicated and driven penultimate-year medical student with a rich tapestry of experience spanning over 5 years in the realm of tutoring. My journey has led me to guide aspiring minds into the corridors of prestigious medical and nursing schools, alongside fostering remarkable accomplishments in GCSE and A-level examinations.
My tutoring ethos is rooted in adaptability, recognising that each student is a unique learner with their aspirations and challenges. I am genuinely vested in understanding and nurturing your individual growth.
Beyond being a profession, teaching is my fervent passion. As I tread through the final stages of my medical degree, my sights are set on pursuing a Master’s in Medical Education, underscoring my commitment to the art of teaching. A personal journey with dyslexia and ADHD has endowed me with heightened empathy towards students grappling with diverse learning difficulties. Elevating self-esteem holds equal importance to me as imparting knowledge.
Effective communication lies at the heart of my approach. I am resolute in cultivating a robust teacher-student relationship, complemented by equipping you with meticulously curated, evidence-based revision techniques. Let us embark on this academic expedition together, transcending mere learning into an enjoyable and enriching experience. 📚🧠
Warm regards,
Sakinah
I have always found teaching incredibly rewarding and also a great way to meet people and share ideas. Even the career path I have chosen has so much teaching, as in medicine there is always something to new be learnt and therefore taught. I loved Biology through GCSE and A levels and now at university, but also really enjoyed learning Chemistry and Maths through my GCSEs. These are not easy subjects and can be really difficult to understand and apply to questions. We can work towards breaking down those hard topics and improving exam technique so that when that difficult question comes along, you can tackle it.
I loved my time at school and tried to get involved in as much as I could. I became Headboy in Year 13and one of my favourites parts of that role was mentoring and teaching younger years, but also just getting to know them better. I played a lot of football and other sports.at school, while also learning the saxophone and cello so I understand how intense school can be and how much can be on your plate. I definitely found many parts of GCSEs difficult but I had people help me through it and now I want to give back and help you in whatever way I can.

Hi, I’m Tom. I have been tutoring for 5 years and I would be delighted to take you on as my next student! My own academic journey has been incredibly fulfilling, providing me with exciting opportunities and transforming my approach to learning. Through my studies, I developed a deep passion for my subjects, honed my problem-solving skills, and built the confidence to tackle complex challenges.
I find immense joy in guiding students on their own academic paths. The most rewarding aspect of tutoring for me is witnessing the growth in my students – seeing their understanding deepen, their grades improve, and their confidence soar. I firmly believe that the skills and mindsets developed through our work together will serve them well not just in their immediate academic pursuits, but in all their future endeavors. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, preparing for university admissions, or simply looking to deepen your understanding of maths and science, I’m here to support and inspire you every step of the way.
Hello! My name is Emily and I am a recent graduate of the University of Oxford, where I read Geography and was awarded an academic scholarship. I am currently studying for a law conversion and will shortly commence a training contract at a magic circle law firm.
I began offering tuition shortly after I completed my A-level studies at Godolphin &
Latymer, where I achieved A*s in Mathematics, Geography, French, Spanish and in an EPQ. Since then I have gained experience supporting primary students working towards 11+ and Common Entrance exams, worked with students preparing for their GCSE and A-level exams, including revision and consolidation work throughout the year as well as exam paper practice and final preparation, and helping students with university applications and transfer work.
I am passionate about learning and love the direct impact 1-to-1 tuition allows me to have on
my students and their own learning journey. I take a keen interest in prompting students’ own independent learning and ensuring their progress with me. My lively, energetic and fun approach helps my students stay engaged and make my sessions memorable.
