Dental Hygiene Interview Tutors : 1-1 Dental Hygiene Interview Preparation

I’m a first year dental student at King’s College London, so I’ve just experienced the interview process and it is still fresh in my mind. After achieving a competitive score of 3100 in the UCAT and band 1 SJT, I applied to the 4 most competitive dental schools in the UK and received 4 interview offers and 4 conditional offers.

Communication and presentation is a key skill I have, through my school assembly presentations and presentations at societies, and I enjoy helping other students develop this skill which is key not only for the interview but also for future life skills.

As an avid learner who enjoys teaching others. I have tutored students for GCSE and interview help sharing my insight and interests. I fully engage myself in learning opportunities. I achieved 4*s at A level and 12 Grade 9s at GCSE. I also received a Gold Crest Award for my dental research project and have had my dental article published in a national magazine.

Now I am still involved in the interviewing process, by volunteering to help at King’s College Mock MMIs, supporting prospective students in acing the interview process.

Hi I’m Asvitha. I am going into my first year at Cardiff University to study Dentistry. I have previously completed a degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Portsmouth. I have always wanted to become a dentist and from applying to dentistry second time I was able to get into dental school. I have an outgoing and funny personality so I am approachable for anyone. I enjoy spending time with family as well as outdoor activities. I like to have an active lifestyle to ensure I have a balanced life. Hi, my name is Inthu and I’m currently studying Dental Hygiene and Therapy at the University of Portsmouth. Having completed tough A-level subjects, achieving A* and 2 A’s, I know what it takes to be a top performing student. I have secured an offer to study postgraduate dentistry, where I had to sit the UCAT exam (I scored 800 on AR and a total score of 2820, Band 2)and therefore I can help you understand the framework on how to achieve your potential in this exam. Im socially confident and can tailor education to students if all backgrounds. Apart from education I am very outgoing and can form good rapport with people, making sure they are able to have trust in their tutor, in order to help them. I can provide advice on applying to university as it is an awkward stage in life and could be difficult.

I am currently a dental student at Kings College London.
