Nice to meet you. I am Bethany Chan, a 2nd year medical student at the University of East Anglia. My passion for tutoring has cemented after getting positive feedbacks with helping out students from the year below in school. As someone who has lots of interests, I believe that it is most effective to find the shortcut to studying in order to achieve the best grades possible with less efforts. During school, I have always find it useful to understand topics with diagrams and using mnemonics or stories to memorise harder and more boring topics. I would love to also help my potential students to fully understand concepts and topics. I would also love to build students’ confidence through my lessons in order to create a relaxed atmosphere for students to be comfortable and to succeed in their application. People would describe me as friendly, determined, empathetic and curious. My hobbies are fitness, piano, reading and watching Netflix. I hope to be able to help students to achieve their goals with enough time for themselves to excels in their hobbies.

Hello! 🌟 I’m thrilled to introduce myself as an enthusiastic individual who recently achieved exceptional results in my Advanced Level examinations, securing 1A* and 2A’s. This academic achievement paved the way for me to embark on an exciting journey at TIU, where I’ve been awarded a 100% scholarship.

My passion for connecting with people is evident in my outgoing personality. I thrive on communication and have been honing this skill throughout my academic journey. My academic focus has been on business since the 7th grade, providing me with a solid foundation in the field.

Beyond academics, I’ve found joy and fulfillment in teaching. Drawing from my experience at an English teaching company, I specialize in helping students master pronunciation and engage in basic English conversations. My time at an elementary school not only reinforced my love for teaching but also highlighted my knack for interacting with and entertaining little ones through games and activities.

Outside the realm of education, I am a multi-faceted individual with diverse interests. Art, travel, and sports are not just hobbies; they’re outlets that fuel my creativity and sense of adventure. I find immense joy in sharing my knowledge and engaging with others, whether it’s through teaching, conversations, or collaborative activities.

Hi! I am a recent Cambridge University Graduate who has spent the last year working at one of the most prestigious international schools in Thailand in the music department. During my time there, I led GCSE Music Revision and GCSE Music Theory classes, assisted with personal statements and coached an A-Level music student for her Oxford interview (she received an offer!). I would love to be able to assist you in your journey studying music, whether that’s GCSE, A-Level or University Preparation.

I have also coached students on writing their Personal Statement for English and History degrees, and have a 100% track record for offers received.

In my spare time, I love to compose. At GCSE and A-Level I received 100% in my compositions. Since discovering my passion for composition, I have written a series of orchestral suites, smaller chamber pieces, and a choral song cycle which was debuted by a Cambridge Choir on tour in Iceland.

I have endeavoured to pursue opportunities that make me a well-rounded and well-developed person and musician. I have a great understanding of liturgical music from my posts in choirs throughout my life; an extensive knowledge of Western music history; training in composition and film composition; good research skills; completed modules in beginners, applied and advanced tonal skills; studied the role of colonialism in modern Western understanding of music; received tuition on the role of popular music and technology in social change and written two dissertations on the role of music in film and culture.
