Painting Tutors : 1-1 Painting Lessons

I’m Simran and I’m a first year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I achieved 3/4 medical school offers at Bart’s, Liverpool and Leicester. I have access to Medic Minds UCAT bank and will be using this in lessons. I hope to help others find the confidence in themselves going forward and support them in achieving their respective goals. No goal is too ambitious! I hope to support you in pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone and adopting a growth mindset. Only when we push ourselves a little can we truly develop as a person and flourish both personally, socially and academically. It’s true that we will always be faced with failure in one form or another but by learning resilience, perseverance and working effectively rather than harder, you can achieve your goals. I hope to help and support you in your own personal journeys in the future. I wish you all luck with your respective goals!

I completed an AS Level award in English Literature and A Levels in History, Psychology and Art and Design. I then achieved a 2:1 in BSc Applied Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. In 2018, I successfully completed a PGCert from the University of Birmingham in Low Intensity Psychological Interventions, and in 2021 I qualified as a teacher of Art and Design.
I am a creative-thinking and motivated individual looking for a new challenge to broaden my horizons. I have previously worked as a psychological talking therapist, and I am also a qualified secondary teacher with extensive experience in schools; which has led me to my current role as an SEN tutor for adolescents who are refusing school attendance. My role is to provide them with the emotional support and encouragement needed to return to school, as well as helping them to learn and revise all curriculum material needed to pass their exams. I relish the opportunity to build positive relationships with others, as this is what motivates me, and I love to see meaningful changes which lead to bright futures; as a result of the work that myself and others have put in. I believe that in order to overcome any challenge, the first step is to identify the barriers to change. This requires the development of trusting relationships with students, as well as their parents and key staff members at their enrolled schools. Once these barriers are identified, we are able to collaboratively come up with a tailored plan to integrate students back into school.

Hello everyone! My name is Megan and I am a friendly, motivating and fun tutor with over 10 years experience in the teaching field making me an oldie now, but a goodie!

My biggest passion in life is helping others grow in confidence, to enable them to see their potential and achieve their goals. I will do everything I can in my power to help you achieve. We will work together as a team and together, with a little nudge from me, we will make sure you can succeed. It might not happen over night, but we will find a way to get there together.

I have a background rooted in the creative and vocational sectors, but I also have a lot of transferrable skills and I have taught over a wide variety of academic subjects too. I specialise in Creative Writing and Art & Design, and I bring a hands-on, student-centred approach to every session.

I’m also experienced in teaching a wide range of subjects including Citizenship, PSHE, Health & Social Care, Childcare, Physical Education, and Travel & Tourism. On top of that, I’m highly skilled in delivering Employability Skills/ Work Experience—perfect for learners who are preparing for the next steps in their education or career.

I pride myself on being approachable, patient, and adaptable. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive learning environment where learners feel heard, valued, and motivated to achieve their full potential. No question is a “stupid question”, so please always ask.

I am a french native although i was schooled in English at South Island School, Hong Kong where i completed both my IGCSEs and IB. I pursued a B-Tech in Business for two years, specialising me in the subject, which i chose to pursue at university.

Hi there! I’m a passionate, enthusiastic tutor who truly loves learning and helping others discover the joy of it too. I’ve always been fascinated by a wide range of subjects — from languages (English, French, and Spanish) to the arts, the environment, and beyond. Although my professional background is in business, my curiosity and creativity have led me to explore many different fields, and I bring that same excitement into every tutoring session.

I’m especially experienced in working with children, having spent time in childcare, and I take great pride in creating a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment. I believe that every learner is unique, with their own pace, interests, and ways of understanding. That’s why I take the time to listen, adapt, and tailor my approach to each student’s individual needs.

Outside of tutoring, I’m a very crafty person — you’ll often find me painting, drawing, doing pottery, or crocheting. I find that creativity plays a huge role in how we learn and connect with the world. For me, spreading knowledge and supporting others on their learning journey isn’t just work — it’s something deeply meaningful and rewarding.
