Hi I am Dr Muhammad Tayyab(you can also call me Dr Tee), a passionate educator, with vast experience of teaching GCE A levels, IB and GCSE O level. My specialties are in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences and Mathematics. I have also helped students with medical school entrance exams such as IMAT, BMAT and UCAT, and Medical School Interviews. I help students at achieving excellent grades by opting student specific tailored teaching approach.
I graduated with an honor in Masters in Medicine and Surgery degree from University of Pavia in Italy. Prior to that I had achieved 4A*s in my A levels Pre-Medicine program and 8A*s in O levels, earning recognition as the top student in both school and high school. This foundation has given me the ability to excel as an educator in these relevant education boards.
Over the years, I have been teaching every student with a unique method, catering to their individual learning style and requirements. Be it improving grades, deepening one’s understanding of a subject, or getting prepared for university entrance exams, I develop strategies for sure success.
I have achieved various certificates of recognition for excelling in providing quality education.
I am familiar with using digital tools like Zoom, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office in ways that make online learning engaging and effective. Such skills ensure effective and structured communication, even in virtual environments.

I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with a passion for empowering children and adults with special educational needs (SEN) and neurodivergent conditions to discover the joy in learning.

I’m skilled at creating bespoke, inclusive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and individual needs, and strive to create a positive, uplifting atmosphere during my sessions that promote a positive attitude towards learning.

Beyond tutoring, I am a professional musician, with vast experience in the create industry. I have a passion for all things history, nature, sci-fi and fantasy, and find these interests often overlap with my students and help us create strong bonds that enrich the learning experience.

My name’s Alex. I studied Economics for 3 years at the University of Bristol and I am now studying Graduate Entry Medicine (GEM) at the University of Nottingham. I specialise in teaching A-Level Economics, Chemistry and Mathematics and the medicine admission process, including tutoring for the GAMSAT and the UCAT.
I achieved A*AA at A-level and I was the head scholar in my year at school. I also achieved in the top 10% of candidates for the UCAT and the top 15% of candidates for the GAMSAT, therefore I know what it takes to achieve a good score in these competitive exams.

I love teaching people and seeing their progress over time. I struggled with the GAMSAT and the UCAT especially as they’re difficult exams to prepare for but I feel thorough practice has equipped me for teaching students how to perform well.

My name is Emily, I’m 19 and a student at the University of East Anglia and entering my second year studying BSc Environmental Sciences – hoping to pursue a career as an Environmental Consultant and as an advisor to the government on Net Zero ambitions. I have a passion for Geography and Science (Biology and Chemistry) achieving A*AA at A-level as well as an A* in my EPQ which investigated how impactful recycling is in my local area of London on the climate crisis. This is also reflected in my GCSE grades (7-9/A-A**) achieving 9s in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography and Food Preparation and Nutrition. I am a determined individual who had to work hard for my academic success, often putting in 12 hour days at sixth form, but paid off after receiving 3 Russell Group offers from Durham, Manchester and Southampton – but eventually picking UEA, where I fell in love with the course and the acres of land!

Hello! My journey into materials science began with hands-on research experience at Nankai University, where I worked on the refractive properties of electromagnetic glass and investigated Tungsten Oxide as an alternative light shield. This exploration involved experimenting with its voltage-dependent refractive index, which culminated in an award-winning report. Later, an internship with China Southern Airlines gave me the chance to dive deeper into high-temperature materials. There, I studied advanced alloys for a GTF engine project, simulating material properties using COSMOL, and analyzed how Nickel-Aluminum alloys and their FCC structures can enhance ductility under high temperatures—a quality that can be improved with boron doping. Resources like Stuff Matters by Mark Miodownik and MIT’s OpenCourseWare on physical metallurgy provided invaluable insights during this time.

This initial exposure to material behavior and manipulation fueled my desire to continue experimenting. Through a research program with Dr. Profundo at UC Santa Cruz, I took on the challenge of designing spaceship materials. My project involved modeling a thin-walled pressure vessel, derived for membrane stress, and calculating ideal Young’s moduli. When I extended this model to consider cylindrical shapes and non-negligible wall thicknesses, I found myself in the realm of Lame’s equations. I became intrigued by how materials like CFRP and quartz-fiber composites perform under unique stresses, learning about their high strength-to-weight ratios and suitability for aerospace applications.

Following this, I delved into the realm of non-destructive testing (NDT) with Dr. Zhang at MIT, where I conducted a literature review on ultrasonic NDT. Through studies on ultrasonic transducer models and computational imaging, I explored how these methods assess material integrity and learned about the limitations when measuring certain thermal and electrical properties.

These diverse experiences have shaped my ambition to pursue a career in materials science—a field where I feel truly inspired. As I began studying physics at UCL, I realized my drive to solve practical problems aligns more with materials science than general physics. I’m excited to engage in projects focused on energy storage and renewable energy materials, particularly in solar technology, which I believe holds potential in addressing climate change.

I am a current 2nd year Psychology student, I am a mature student who studies part time whilst also working full time as an actor and drummer. I am Italian and have been teaching English speaking students Italian for many years. I have also coached many musicians who are trying to learn drums. I really enjoy tutoring, especially these subjects that I am passionate about. I am very patient and encouraging and I always try to get the best out of my students.
I moved to the UK in 2020 but I have previously spent time in London where I have learnt to speak English. I have since then worked around the world where I have had to use my language skills to communicate and I am now very competent and confident in teaching my own native language to new learners.
I now work as an actor and a drummer and I hope to inspire and support other students with their passions and learning needs.

Hi, my name is Ben Spink and I recently graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 in Music and Philosophy. I have a huge passion for music – in performance I play the trumpet to grade 8 standard, drums and tuned percussion and sing. I have a vast knowledge of the history of music through GCSE (A*), A level (A) and historical modules at university, and I researched in depth the role of the trumpet in British music, 1945-90 for my university dissertation in which I achieved a 2:1. I also have an interest in the psychological impact of music which was a key aspect to my EPQ at Marlborough College titled: ‘Can Music Enhance Sporting Performance’ (A). In Philosopy I achieved A* at GCSE, A at A-Level and excelled in Philosophy at University, particularly with modules surrounding ethics in business, the environment and with animals.
