After graduating with a Philosophy BA (first class) from King’s College London, I worked in commercial law for one of the world’s leading tech companies for a period of one year, before leaving to pursue my own entrepreneurial career in app development.

LNAT tutoring: I have secured entry to Durham University and King’s College London (among others) for LNAT students, helping them achieve marks of 31+.

French tutoring: I am a native French speaker and obtained A* at A-level French (native speaker exam) as well as A* at GCSE. I have acted as French teacher and curriculum designer to home-schooled students, helping them to achieve A at A-level, as well as securing multiple high-scoring IB and GCSE results.

Legal experience: I have completed mini-pupillages at top commercial law chambers such as Quadrant Chambers and Four New Square, and won several moot court competitions both within King’s College and representing the university on the European stage, all of which has given me extensive academic and professional legal experience.

I have graduated from the University of Oxford with a 2.1 in Philosophy and Theology. Prior to attending Oxford, I achieved A*A*A* in English Literature, Latin and Religious Studies, with 5 A*S, 4 Grade 9s and a Grade 8 in GCSEs.

For the past few years, I have been a private tutor which has also entailed mentoring young students and seeing them progress and achieving their dream spots at their universities. This has enabled me to build client relationships and to handle multiple concurrent tasks, since I balanced tutoring with my ability to thrive in Oxford’s rigorous academic environment. I also believe that I work well under time constraints and to meet deadlines, which is an ability that my time at Oxford has prepared me well for.

I am well-placed to provide tuition at 11 and 13+, as well as English Language, English Literature and RE GCSE, A-Level and degree-level tuition. I am also up-to-date on examination syllabi and the requirements needed for achieving top marks.

I have tutoring experience in GCSE English Language, GCSE English Literature, GCSE Religious Studies and Oxbridge Classics admissions. I also mentor students in application for Oxbridge Classics, as I changed degrees in my third year, and assisted a student in her successful entrance to Oxford for Classics via personal statement, interview/test advice and general information about the course and university life. Therefore, I am available to support Oxbridge Classics admissions.

Darcy Dixon graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a High 2.1 and several first class papers.

In Oxford, Darcy was an access rep for her JCR, was the Equity rep for Oxford Drama Society, and the Outreach rep for ACS. She sang at Keble College and was an Open Day rep for the Theology Faculty. Darcy went to St Peters studying the Joint honours degree Philosophy and Theology. Darcy was in the Top 100 Undergraduates for Future Leaders Magazine.

Darcy has done a TEDx talk on the power of change and immediate action. Darcy is also the Vice Chair of the Black Head Students Network, an organisation committed to propelling Black youth leadership within schools. Currently, Darcy is Resident Creative at City University of London, in Islington.

Darcy was on the Young Mentor programme for the Young Vic Theatre, where she was trained to advise industry professionals.

I am a musicologist and cultural historian studying for a PhD in Music at the University of Cambridge. At Cambridge, I work as an Academic Supervisor in the Faculty of Music. I also teach violin, viola, conducting, and music theory at the Centre for Music Performance. Under the supervision of Professor David Trippett, I conduct research on the cultural history of musical time in the Long Nineteenth Century, focusing mainly on Germany and France. With a decade of teaching experience as a peripatetic musical instructor and academic tutor, I teach a wide array of musical and academic subjects, spanning the humanities and the social sciences. In addition to my undergraduate teaching, I maintain a private tutoring practice in Oxbridge Entrance Exam Preparation for Music, History, English and Philosophy; School Entrance Exam Preparation (7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+, 13+ & 16+); Violin; Viola; Orchestral Conducting; Music; Music Theory; English; History; Philosophy; Classical Civilisation; Writing, Essay and Dissertation Skills; and Formal Logic.

Beyond academic life, I work as a professional violinist, violist, and conductor, primarily in the field of documentary film. Since my professional debut recording solo and ensemble strings to picture at the age of 14—for the Emmy-nominated soundtrack to The Battle for Marjah (HBO 2012)—my performances have been featured on a range of documentaries. My performances are featured on The Detectives: Murder on the Streets (BBC 2017, BAFTA-Winning TV Series), Grenfell (BBC 2018, BAFTA-Winning Film), War in the Blood (BBC 2019, BAFTA-Nominated Soundtrack), The Surgeon’s Cut (BBC / Netflix 2020), and Nail Bomber: Manhunt (Netflix, 2021). Having recorded solo and orchestral strings for Critical: Between Life and Death (Netflix 2025) in 2025, my playing was also featured on The Manhattan Alien Abduction (Netflix: 2024), Miner’s Strike 1984: The Battle for Britain (Channel 4, 2024), Investigating Diana: Death in Paris (Channel 4 2023) and the BAFTA-nominated score for the BBC docuseries House of Maxwell (BBC2, 2022). Having recorded strings on several of their releases, I have also worked in the capacity of composer’s assistant, arranger, and orchestrator with the electronica outfit ‘Grasscut’ for over a decade.

Hi! My name is Emily, and I’m a 21 year old from Frankfurt, Germany. I graduated with a BA in PPE from Jesus College, Oxford in 2023 and just completed a masters degree in economics at UCL.. I’m passionate about making the Oxbridge application process more accessible, and have previous experience with test and interview prep for Oxford applicants.

Academically, I’m a true all-rounder; my interdisciplinary degree equipped me with excellent writing, reasoning and maths skills. There are multiple subjects I have excelled in and have a passion for that I’m certain will rub off on my students: economics, philosophy, maths, English literature and my native German.
I also want to help Oxford hopefuls create the strongest application they can, starting with the personal statement. I would help my student identify, read up on and talk about specific areas of interest within their subject with passion and eloquence. Having achieved top 10th percentile results in the maths and verbal reasoning sections in both the Oxford TSA and the graduate GRE, I am well-versed in test taking strategies. I was also a nationally ranked competitive debater; as such I believe my public speaking training will help me instil confidence in applicants that find the interview process daunting.
