Hi!

My name is Evie and I am a 4th Year Material Scientist at the University of Oxford. I love teaching and I have a particular passion for teaching science and maths. I am dedicated and patient and I love to inspire a love of the STEM subjects in my students!

I can help with general KS2, KS3 and GCSE subjects, along with A Level Chemistry, Physics and Maths. With my background in Engineering, I can also help with scientific university Interview practice and personal statements as I have done with students in the past. Whether you are looking to improve your confidence for a subject, getting ready for exams or just want to expand your knowledge of a subject, I am a passionate and experienced tutor who would love to help you on your academic journey!

Having attended a state school (and attaining the best GCSE grades: https://www.nhsg.org.uk/latestnews/gcse-results-a-birthday-to-remember), I understand the endless hard work and effort that goes into oxbridge applications and education in general. No student should be disadvantaged and I’d love to make their lives easier by passing on my experiences and success with getting into the top universities (Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, KCL). Although a massive part of it is luck, hard work can get you anywhhere; it’s just about knowing where to put in the hard work to achieve the best results! Personal statements, ENGAA, and interviews can be exhausting if they aren’t handled in the right way, without appropriate guidance but as an engineer, solving problems efficiently is at the heart of what I do so I hope that can be applied to giving you the best chance possible of achieving your dreams 🙂

I have just finished my first year studying Engineering at the University of Cambridge and am tracking a high first having finished in the top 10 in my year in the mock examinations. I received offers from Cambridge, Imperial, Warwick, Durham, and Bristol and achieved 4 A*s at A level in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Geography and 11 grade 9s at GCSE.

Having only undergone the admission process a year ago I have a complete understanding of the process and tips and tricks to help improve applications.
I specialise in Oxbridge and Imperial admissions tests and Interview preparation, but also offer tutoring for Maths, Further Maths, and Physics A levels.

After a year at Cambridge I am well prepared to provide high quality tutoring. Not only have I gone though the process myself, I have had many conversations with Professors, Fellows, Interviewers and fellows students and know exactly what admissions tutors are seeking and how to train my students to meet these criteria.

I get it. I’ve been in your shoes, 4 years ago. I went from a struggling student in school to one of the highest achievers at my university. So, I understand all levels of difficulty. I have started to not just understand math and physics at a fundamental level, but also enjoy it! And I hope to recreate the same experience for you.

I get your struggles, and I’m here to customize lessons just for you, creating a laid-back yet focused environment where questions aren’t just welcome but encouraged. I have experience teaching starting out from GCSE level right up to university level math and physics. I’ve always aimed on creating a rapport with the students I tutor in order to make it a more positive and friendly experience.

Hence, I would love to simplify complex concepts and boost confidence – thereby covering all aspects of the specification in a detailed yet simplified manner.

Hi there! I’m Mollie, a master’s student at UCL studying for a degree in Advanced Materials Science having previously achieved a 1st Class BA in Architecture with Part IA Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge. I have an excellent academic background achieving all A*s at GCSE and A Levels so I know what it takes to be well prepared for these exams and I enjoy the opportunity to tutor other students to achieve the best results possible. I received two offers from Cambridge (Architecture and Natural Sciences) and so have experience across both interview processes and personal statement preparation for top UK universities. I am also a keen sports player having won national titles in hockey at junior level and captaining the 1st XI at Cambridge University during my studies where I also coached the 2nd team. I am a confident but friendly face and have had lots of experience coaching and teaching others at a range of levels which I find a really fulfilling role!
