Hi, my name is Joanna a current Foundation Year 2 doctor, eager to connect with you to create a learning environment that best fits your learning style and helps you achieve your dreams.

The road to medicine can be long, however, I aim to pass down the wealth of knowledge that I have gained over the years to ensure that your journey will be one where you enjoy the application process and cultivate long-term skills to help you as you enter medicine. Building up endurance and stamina for this journey can only be done with guidance and advice.

Know that you do not have to go through this process alone and that we are here for you to support every need you have during this path.

Apart from medicine, I love languages and often take pride in the number of languages I can communicate. I enjoy teaching IELTS and have helped many students get through this exam with higher scores than they aspired for.

I hope you are ready to embark on this journey together. Be ready to come to each session eager to learn and walk out of the session inspired to learn more.

Hi! I am Tulika Nahar and I am super passionate about teaching. If I had to explain to someone who I am, I would say I am a life-long learner. I love the process of learning and understanding the “why” or the big picture. In most areas where I have excelled in the past, it is because I have taken my time to build a good base. I wish to extend my learnings to my students and introduce them to the same passion I have. I have taken loads of exams from IB, medical school entrance exams, medical school exams, USMLE Step 1, and USMLE STEP 2CK with a 251. I have a good exam-taking strategy and I will help you achieve and conquer any exam because no exam should take control over you. With hard work and dedication, anyone should be able to control the results they obtain. If you master the process of learning (including being comfortable with all the set backs) and exam-taking, you should be able to meet all your goals and I am here to help with both aspects.

My name is Kathryn and I am originally from Toronto, Canada. I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences at Queen’s University in Canada and went on to complete my Master’s in Biomedical and Molecular Sciences also at Queen’s. My Master’s focused on cardiovascular research, which is a field that I will continue to pursue as an academic doctor as part of the Cambridge Academic Foundation Programme. Apart from medicine, I really enjoy the outdoors, cycling, and traveling. I also love trying new foods! As someone who didn’t have these supports growing up, I really want to give back and help other students navigate their way through medicine. After accomplishing my dream with the help of my mentors, I really think that mentorship is critical to this journey so I hope to be a source of academic support, encouragement, and most importantly, a friend.

Hello! My name is Ana Vaz, I am a final year medical student at University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.
I have been in university for 7 years now, I did an undergraduate degree in Medical Sciences at University of South Wales, UK for 3 years, and then applied to the Graduate Entry Medicine program which have been 4 long but fast-paced and exciting years! Therefore, I understand how student life is challenging at times, draining even and that extra help may make a big difference! I received tutoring for almost every my big exams, for A-Levels, IELTS, CAE (another english exam), GAMSAT and USMLE Step 1 (a very hard exam to apply to residency in the USA).
To tell you a bit more about myself, It was not always my dream to be a doctor, I only fell in love with Medicine when I was in secondary school, when I realised that being a doctor is a life-long contract of acts of service, where I am constantly being challenged academically, professionally, and emotionally. Every day is different. I never quit, I just try different approaches when something does not work, and I always do my best in everything I get involved with.
I am an aspiring Paediatric Surgeon, having done sub-internships in Paediatric Surgery at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital in Cardiff, UK and also at Yale Children’s New Haven Hospital in Connecticut, USA. I am part of UCD Paediatric Society, having been appointed Teddy Bear Hospital Coordinator for the year 22/23 and I am also a Surgery Skills Tutor and Conference Officer at UCD Surgical Society.
I have worked as a Residential Assistant at UCD Residences, having to manage 56 apartments and I worked as a Carer in Cardiff with Helping Hands.
On my free time I love to watch Netflix (who doesn’t?), read, go to the beach and hike. I am also a cat-mom.
