10About Me
Hi, I’m Parisa and I’m a fifth year medical student at Cambridge and Natural Sciences graduate. I have a first class degree in Natural Sciences, where I specialised in physiology and ranked 7th in my year.
I understand that applying to medical school / Oxbridge can be a stressful experience, and I would be so happy to help guide you so you can successfully apply to university and achieve your goals! I also love teaching GCSE maths and science, and A level biology.
I have over three years’ experience tutoring GCSE and A level science, and medical interviews and admissions tests (ESAT, UCAT and NSAA), particularly in the oxbridge style. I achieved top 10% in UCAT, and have a strong scientific background: I have a first class degree in Natural Sciences from Cambridge, 3A*s at A level and all 9s/A*s at GCSE. I also supervise physiology and human reproduction to third year Cambridge students.

My teaching style
My teaching style is very adaptable and I will cater it for you depending on what you’re looking for. Sixth form can be a very busy time so I try to keep my lessons as exam-focused as possible, with hands on practice using past paper questions so that everything we do is directly applicable.
In an hour long lesson I will usually start by explaining the basic principles if its biology or chemistry, or S2 BMAT, or the best methods for approaching the questions if its UCAT or BMAT, as the unfamiliarity of these tests can be daunting. Then we’ll go through examples, answering any questions you may have.
In terms of interviews I believe the best practice is doing! I hold mock interviews using past interview questions, leaving time at the end to go over what went well and what can be improved on, so that you can feel more comfortable in the interview environment.
My past experience
I have tutored biology, chemistry, physics and maths for three years, and have experience helping students with university admissions tests and interviews, particularly oxbridge style medicine and natural science interviews. I also supervise third year physiology at Cambridge.
My Proudest Achievements
Some of my proudest achievements include ranking 7th in Natural Sciences at Cambridge and receiving a scholarship in year 13 for the highest EPQ.
