Pearl
About Me
Hello! I’m Pearl, a second-year medicine student at Queen Mary, University of London. I’m passionate about anything science or art related! In my spare time, I love to read, paint or dance my heart away. I’m looking forward to getting involved in more research in the future and perhaps even fulfilling my dream of becoming a pediatrician:)
I’m quite passionate about helping other people and giving back to the community. Currently, I work with Inspire Foundation to help children with autism develop essential skills and improve their quality of life. In the past, I’ve helped other students prepare for their exams and fill out their applications for university. I am also a certified first-aider and work with ERRC to provide ambulance services at major events!
I’m looking forward to helping more students achieve their dreams through MedicMind:)
My teaching style
I like my teaching sessions to be as interactive as possible. I enjoy a fun yet productive session with students where I can be confident that they’ve learnt something new. I am happy to tailor my study sessions according to the students’ individual needs since I can appreciate that every child has different study methods and abilities.
My past experience
I was part of a tutoring organization where I taught A-level Biology to students. I also work with children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) to teach them communication skills and improve their motor functions.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting accepted to Harvard’s Precollege Program and passing second in class with a score of 87.5%. Additionally, getting a score of 667/720 in NEET, which is the medical entrance examination for universities in India. This put me in the top 1% of the country.
