About Me

Hello, I’m Krish!

I’m currently in my third year studying Medicine at Queen’s University Belfast.

I understand the challenges students, particularly international students, face when applying to Medicine in the U.K. From mastering interview techniques to ensuring strong academic performance, the process can feel overwhelming and daunting. Having experienced this firsthand, I’m aware of how demotivating it can be. But I’m here to reassure you that despite the doubts and uncertainties, getting into your dream medical school is entirely possible.

Over the past five years, I’ve immersed myself in various study methods throughout the International Baccalaureate and Medicine. This journey has taught me valuable lessons on effective preparation techniques and the best resources to use, ensuring I reach my full potential without experiencing burnout.

I believe your journey to medical school is about more than just grades and interviews—it’s about showcasing your unique strengths, experiences, and passion for medicine. I’m here to guide and support you with the knowledge I’ve gained, to make the process easier and ensure you’ll not only meet but exceed expectations, leaving a lasting impression on admissions committees.

My teaching style

I typically start by presenting the overall concept or topic to students. Following the presentation, I encourage open discussion and welcome any questions they may have. I address any uncertainties or gaps in understanding by providing additional or simplified explanations as needed. I also assign homework if the student is comfortable completing it, as this helps reinforce what was taught. This may include questions or essays tailored to the topic covered. I believe in the effectiveness of practicing past paper questions and sample exam-style questions, which I provide and personally mark. I am flexible in adapting my teaching style to accommodate students’ learning preferences and progress, as I know a one-size-fits-all approach is not suitable for learning!

My past experience

I have experience tutoring my peers during GCSE. In the IB program, I led small group discussions on various topics. Additionally, I have tutored younger peers and have been tutoring A-Level/IB students for the past three years. I have also organized and led student-led teaching events in Medicine.

My Proudest Achievements

I believe my proudest achievement is the transformation in my attitude towards challenges. While it is easier for me to pick significant memories like entering Medicine or completing a half-marathon, it’s the personal growth I’ve experienced that I’m truly proud of. Learning to push myself beyond my limits and embrace challenges with resilience has been deeply rewarding and has shaped me into a stronger and better person than I was.
