About Me

I have recently graduated from biomedical science. This degree taught me many skills for example, how to communicate with my peers, students from other cohorts and academics. I particularly found this rewarding as I now know how to communicate with people on different levels like; when talking to students in younger years I converse with a mentor tone. This way I ease them into the course and identify challenges they may face.
Furthermore, these communication skills have allowed me to flourish in my medicine course as I can hold an open discussion with my peers and academics. This often leads to debates which allows us to explore topics and gain a wider understanding.
In my spare time, I look to read up on current affairs and cook which helps me to relax and wind down for the day. This is also an excellent method to destress yourself and develop resilience. I also like to look up scientific articles on the Nature Journal. It has made me up to date on the various scientific milestones. I found the article about breast screening particularly interesting because it is of use to me as it relates to what I want to do as a future oncologist.

My teaching style

My teaching style involves two core elements. They are patience and diligence. I make it a habit to give the utmost of my time and cast away all the queries that a student may have. I also identify the weak points my students so they can counter them and come out successful.

My past experience

Over the course of three exhilarating months, I embarked on a fulfilling tutoring experience that would forever leave a lasting impact on both my students and myself. As a dedicated educator, I eagerly took on the challenge of mentoring a diverse group of 20 students, ranging from A-level candidates to GCSE aspirants. This exciting mix allowed me to tailor my teaching approach to cater to each student’s unique needs and aspirations.

From the very beginning, I strived to create a warm and welcoming environment, fostering a sense of trust and camaraderie with my students. Building strong connections with them was essential in understanding their individual learning styles, academic goals, and any challenges they faced.

During our initial sessions, I conducted informal assessments to gauge their existing knowledge and identify areas that required focused improvement. This process proved invaluable in tailoring personalized learning plans for each student, ensuring that they received the attention and guidance they deserved.

My Proudest Achievements

My proudest moment would definitely be getting into medicine, especially during the pandemic as I am the first in my family to get a place and first in my cohort to securely be part of the course
