About Me
Hi! I’m Sajanthiya, a Law student at the University of Exeter with a genuine passion for education and helping students reach their full potential.
I offer tutoring in Maths and English for primary school students, as well as English for GCSE students, supporting learners in building confidence, mastering key concepts, and improving their academic performance. With a strong academic background and experience in one-to-one mentoring, I understand how to adapt lessons to suit each student’s individual learning style.
For younger learners, I focus on creating fun, interactive sessions that encourage curiosity and lay a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy. Whether we’re exploring storytelling, building vocabulary, or tackling number problems, I ensure every session is engaging and age-appropriate.
For GCSE students, my sessions are structured to strengthen both subject knowledge and exam skills. I help students break down complex texts, analyse language and structure, plan strong responses, and improve essay writing. I also support with revision strategies and time management to help them feel fully prepared for exams.
I’m a friendly, patient tutor who believes in making learning enjoyable and meaningful. I strive to create a calm, supportive space where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow at their own pace. Let’s work together to build skills, boost confidence, and enjoy the journey to academic success!
My teaching style
My teaching style is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student’s unique needs. I believe in creating a calm and supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and make mistakes, that’s how real learning happens!
For younger students, I keep lessons interactive and engaging, using visual aids, games, and real-world examples to make maths and English fun and relatable.
With GCSE students, I focus on building strong foundations and exam techniques. I break down complex ideas into manageable steps, and I help students develop effective study habits, essay writing skills, and confidence in their abilities.
Above all, I aim to make lessons enjoyable, focused, and encouraging, so students stay motivated and see real progress.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest academic achievements is completing The Brilliant Club’s Scholars Programme, where I conducted an independent research project and earned a First-Class grade. This experience deepened my analytical and written communication skills and showed me how powerful tailored academic support can be.
I’m also proud of my success in university-level Mooting Competitions, where I’ve developed strong public speaking, argumentation, and critical thinking skills are my key strengths that I bring into tutoring.
Additionally, being a finalist in the regional Great Debate and serving as Vice Chair of my school’s Law Society have helped me grow as a communicator and leader, both of which are essential in building confidence and engagement in students.
