Hi, I’m Angel! I am a medical student with over three years of tutoring experience, specialising in maths, biology and chemistry. I am passionate about helping students not only improve academically, but also build the skills and confidence they require for long-term success.
My lessons are engaging and tailored to each student, designed to unlock their full potential. I teach new concepts clearly and then encourage students to tackle problems as independently as they can before I step in to help. This ensures that students truly understand difficult concepts and feel empowered to apply their knowledge in the future. I find tutoring incredibly rewarding and I’m dedicated to making learning a positive and empowering experience!

My teaching style
My teaching style aligns closely with “scaffolded learning”; I guide students to attempt as much as they can on their own first, allowing them to think independently. Then, we review any challenges they faced, and I break the solution down step by step, explaining my thought process clearly. This approach ensures that students not only understand the material, but also build skills to apply in the future.

My Proudest Achievements
Some of my proudest academic achievements include receiving offers to study medicine from three universities and achieving three A*s at A-Level, despite significant disruptions due to the lockdown.
