7About Me
Hi there, my name is RaeLynn and I’m a 2nd year medical student at Monash University and an international student from Singapore. I scored 3060 in my UCAT, and i know firsthand how intense and stressful UCAT prep can feel – especially trying to obtain a high score while balancing school, friends and life!! I have been through it all and developed tried and tested strategies to help you tackle each section with confidence.
As a tutor, I believe that UCAT prep does not have to be stressful at all and can be fun! I will focus on tailoring our sessions to your study needs and strengths. Whether its mastering how to answer each section and question type, or learning exam techniques to stay cool under pressure, I will guide you with patience and proven techniques.
Outside of medicine and studying, I enjoy sports, pilates and movies! As an international student, I can also guide those who plan on studying abroad and share my experiences moving to another country.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student centered. I will start by understanding my student’s needs and how they learn best – whether that is more visual or auditory, using diagrams or breaking things down step by step. I strongly beleive in practice questions and will use practices to build up my students’ confidence overtime. It is also crucial to teach my students exam techniques and how they can harness their strengths on exam day. Overall my tutoring style is one that is calm and encouraging, in order to make UCAT prep less overwhelming for them.

My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement would be helping one of my previous student get into her dream school. Though it may sound like any ordinary tutoring achievement, this student held a special place in my heart as she went through many challenges. she often struggled with a difficult family environment and many learning challenges. however over the 2 years in which i tutored her, i was able to get her to trust me and helped her build up her confidence not just with her work but also as a whole.
