About Me
Hi! I’m Imogen, a History of Art graduate from the University of Cambridge. Coming from a deprived area, the help of tutors, volunteers, and Oxbridge students were an essential part of my application process. Helping others get into Oxbridge is therefore a huge interest of mine.
I have experience with the History of Art Cambridge interview, as well as the general UCAS application process. In terms of personal statements, I succeded massively with my UCAS one, recieving 5/5 offers from all Russell Group universities. Additionally, I have experience in writing personal statements for school awards, job applications, and committee positions that I have held at university.
Creativity is a huge part of my life. Studying History of Art has allowed me to combine my A-Level subjects of Art, English Language and Literature, and History together in a way that has kept me motivated and interested during my degree. I aim to foster this same enjoyment with my students.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-focused, as I never want to remove the student’s own writing style. I am here to help bring the student’s fantastic skills out in their application. Writing style is something that is fluid and changes throughout GCSEs, A-Levels, and University and can sometimes be challenging. I aim to assist students with the sometimes confusing guidance that they receive when they transition from these levels of education.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is of course getting in Cambridge and ranking in the top 50% of my cohort for two years in a row. Alongside this, I have participated in multiple extracurriculars in university, including being May Ball President for my college and managing a £500k event.
