27About Me
I am a recent Oxford graduate with a Master of Engineering in Materials Science. My Masters’s research project was in DFT modelling of rare-earth superconductors where I looked at how I can better interoperate experimental results in order to design the next generation of superconductors to be used within fusion reactors.
I am extremely grateful for my time in Oxford as I was one of the only people from my school to go to Oxford. Despite the challenges of dyslexia and my journey through state schools, I was able to achieve 4 A*s in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry. Throughout my academic journey, I have learnt many effective studying techniques I am keen to pass on to my students.
In my spare time, I enjoy bouldering, going to the gym, and taking courses in a wide variety of disciplines such as philosophy and Spanish.
My teaching style
With a robust teaching experience spanning over six years, I’ve had the privilege of tutoring/mentoring more than 100 students, ranging in age from 6 to 19. I have helped students improve their grades in maths and science substantially and have also given guidance and support to those entering the next stage of higher education. I have an adaptable teaching style as I believe one size does not fit all. I aim to comprehend their individual objectives, motivations, and foundational grasp of the subject, to allow me to customise my lessons to meet their unique needs. My lessons are typically an hour long but I am always happy to adapt this to be longer or shorter depending on the student’s needs.

My Proudest Achievements
I am proud of the grades I achieved at Alevel (4A*s) and my 1st in my masters’ research on superconductors. I am also immensely proud of the students I have been able to teach and mentor who, with my help, were able to turn their grades around and access new opportunities as a result.
