About Me
Hi, my name is Keeley Lee.
I have always been very passionate about education and have wanted to be a teacher since a young age. I am Autistic and have ADHD so have experience with this, and I have also tutored students with these conditions as well as dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia and learning disabilities.
I am currently doing a Psychology degree as I believe having an in-depth understanding of this helps with my ability to help others. I study this degree with the Open University therefore have a wealth of experience using various online platforms for learning and also have a very flexible schedule due to not having any set University hours.
After this degree is completed, I aim to complete a teaching qualification and go into teaching. However, I love tutoring online and developing bonds with the students and families that I am considering continuing to work as an online tutor full-time. I love meeting people from different areas and different backgrounds and tutoring online allows me to do this.
My teaching style
My teaching style varies from student to student. With older learners, I usually begin by asking if they are aware of a specific learning strategy that benefits them e.g. audio, visual etc and then follow this so that they can engage fully.
With younger students, I tend to split lessons up into sections and incorporate lots of interactive and more fun elements to help maintain concentration.
My past experience
I have been a private online tutor since 2022 and have over 1000+ hours experience. I work with companies including GoStudent and FirstTutors and I also volunteer with charities, such as TutorTheNation and RefuNet.
I have tutored students ranging from ages 4 to 60. I tutor primary school, KS3, GCSE, A Level and adult learners in a range of subjects including Psychology, Geography, Biology and English.
Students that I tutored went on to do exceptionally well in the 2023 summer exams with a highlight being an A Level Geography student going from a D to an A* in 4 months.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is being able to complete my A Levels. I became very poorly during them and unfortunately had to leave my sixth form. However, I persevered and managed to start a new sixth form and complete my A Levels in 9 months whilst still being unwell.
