About Me
Hi! My name is Tianjian (you can call me TJ) and I am thrilled to be your tutor! I am from Singapore and I am currently a second-year medical student studying at UNSW Sydney. I am friendly and approachable, and most importantly, I enjoy teaching as seeing students improve and achieve their dreams brings me immense happiness and a sense of fulfilment. I, just like you, was once in your shoes as well. Studying medicine has been something I wanted to do since young. The complicated yet fascinating body anatomy left me in awe, while my desire to actively help others further solidified my interest in pursuing a medical career. Ever since my graduation from high school, I have been helping several juniors and friends of mine with their medical school applications based on my own experiences applying to medical schools, and it was heartwarming to hear them getting offers from their dream schools. And I, as your tutor, want to help you too! Applying to medical school is not an easy journey, and I am here to help you fulfill your dream of becoming a future physician!
My teaching style
I believe it is of paramount importance to know more about my students so that I am able to provide the kind of teaching that is most suitable for my students. I would describe myself as an interactive tutor, I believe that student-tutor engagement helps the students to learn better. Occasionally, I would also create my own extension questions from the existing questions so that this helps to challenge my students further.
My past experience

My Proudest Achievements
Aside from getting into medical school, some of my proudest achievements include making a difference to the community. As an active volunteer, I am glad that I could make someone else’s day better through a simple act of volunteering, especially during the pandemic when I had the opportunity to conduct befriending activities in a hospital.
