About Me
Hi!
My name is Puvi and I am a 5th year medical student at University of Birmingham.
I’ve got involved in teaching throughout my academic journey wherever possible, however big or small, and I am eager to continue this alongside studying medicine too. I will work on boosting students’ confidence in their knowledge and themselves, help build on their foundation of knowledge and improve their exam techniques so they feel much more prepared for upcoming exams. Identifying weaknesses and strengths together, finding methods of studying that are more sufficient to an individual and learning how to study better are also equally important things to focus on.
It’s overall a safe space where students feel like they can make mistakes now rather than later, and to ask all sorts of questions about what they’re concerned about.
My teaching style
Individuals can have different styles of learning and methods that suit them best so I think it’s important to consider this when teaching. From there, I’d be happy to facilitate the sessions for what is needed the most taking into context time frames and strengths and weaknesses. Consolidating the content with exam style also means we can work on applying the knowledge and work on exam technique too.
My Proudest Achievements
A couple of my proud achievements include having the best maths result in my school year at GCSE level, achieving full marks in my history GCSE paper and getting into medical school!
