About Me
Hi my name is Ella!
I am a second year Biology student at the University of Oxford excited to share my passion for science with you! I previously studied Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science at A-Level (A*A*A) and I have a particularly keen interest in Biodiversity and Sustainability. Having been through the exams and Oxbridge admissions process myself, I’m here to offer support to other students who want to reach their study goals.
I have tutored 15+ hours and my most recent student received an A* in her A-Level Biology exam, earning her a place at her first choice university.
I have also had recent experience working as a residential summer school teacher at both St Hilda’s and St Peter’s College. Here, I led and taught group classes (30+) of Chinese students across a wide range of subjects. I also organised and delivered tailored tuition to small groups, assisting students’ research projects in Biology/Medicine.
I’m currently accepting tutees for the sciences and university applications, and would love to get to know you more!
My teaching style
My style of teaching primarily focuses on a combination of exam technique and content learning but I understand every student has different requirements based on their learning needs! I am able to tailor lessons to suit you, in a non-judgemental, welcoming space.
My past experience
Yes. I have regularly tutored A-Level Biology (online) during my first year of University and been a residential summer school teacher this past summer, working with international students.
My Proudest Achievements
