I am a passionate and engaging science teacher with four years of experience teaching all three sciences across Key Stages 3 and 4 at a renowned North London grammar school. As the lead for biology, I have designed the Key Stage 4 curriculum and exam papers while also playing an active pastoral role, building strong relationships with students and parents.
I thrive in dynamic environments, quickly adapting to challenges and delivering interactive, well-structured lessons. My experience working with diverse learners, including EAL students, has strengthened my ability to tailor lessons to different needs, fostering curiosity and critical thinking.

My teaching style
My teaching style is highly engaging, dynamic, and interactive. I create a lively classroom atmosphere by moving around the room, keeping energy levels high, and ensuring students are actively involved rather than just listening. I minimise teacher talk, instead encouraging student participation through discussions, hands-on activities, and problem-solving tasks. Whenever possible, I incorporate science experiments to bring concepts to life, making learning both exciting and memorable. My goal is to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science in every lesson.
My past experience
Yes, I have been teaching full-time at a renowned grammar school for the past four years, working with students from Year 7 to Year 11 across all three sciences. In addition to my classroom teaching, I have extensive experience in online tutoring, having supported students in GCSE Chemistry, Biology, and Physics for over five years. This has allowed me to tailor my teaching to individual student needs, helping them build confidence and achieve strong results.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is realising that I became the go-to teacher for so many students at my school. Despite not being their form tutor, head of year, or part of the pastoral team, they still felt most comfortable coming to me for support. Receiving heartfelt letters from students expressing how much my guidance helped them has meant more to me than words can express. Knowing I made a real difference in their lives is the proudest achievement of my career.
