Rossel
About Me
Hi, my name is Rossel and I am a 4th year medical student studying at King’s College London.
About me:
– I achieved 4/4 medicine offers to KCL, KCL EMDP, UCL and Newcastle.
– I am an official interviewer at King’s College London’s medical school and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, and my role includes working with the admissions team, faculty members and doctors to decide which candidates deserve the interview offer.
– I work directly with my Widening participation team at KCL to help thousands of students across the country.
– I have received a recommendation from my university for my work as an interview tutor.
– I work with the Medical Student Association at my university to build revision programmes for younger years.
– As the outreach lead for Women in Surgery Society, I build my own outreach programme, tutoring over 100 students from schools across London.
I have experience in tutoring 100s of medical and dental applicants over the course of 4 years as a senior recommended tutor. Through my direct work with King’s College London’s medical school and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine, I have gained knowledge of the exact qualities and skills that the admissions team look for in potential applicants. My decision plays a part in giving the applicants an offer to study medicine at the university. Through this role, I have gained enough understanding of what medical schools are looking for and therefore I can guide students in the right direction and aid them in perfecting their interview performance! I have also received a recommendation from my university for my work as an interview tutor and I hope my experience can add to your learning and help you shape your interview practice!
My teaching style
I focus on developing student’s strengths and offer personalised help to each individual to ensure that they unlock a professional part of their personality. I encourage discussion and debates when answering interview questions, and I have a bank of 100s of questions to practice with students.
My past experience
I have been an academic tutor for over 4 years now, as well as a medical application senior tutor for four years.
My Proudest Achievements
Having my medical interview answers used in the official KCL Medical School model answers was a true achievement, and the first step that got me to helping other students excel in their interviews.
