Ebube
About Me
Hi, my name is Ebube I am a recent graduate from the University of Oxford where I studied Law. I have been tutoring family and friends informally for several years however, since I am taking a year out before starting my training contract with a top London Magic Circle Law firm I have decided to tutor more formally as well.
While at university, I balanced studying law with also being active in many societies such as Oxford’s Women in Law Student Society, where I was part of the PR and social media team. Additionally, I was part of the University’s Netball 1st Team where I went on to win a Blue.
Thus, while I am extremely academic and have experience tutoring I am also multifaceted and believe that this is what has made me successful, therefore I bring this into how I work with children.
My teaching style
I like to teach students on an individual and general basis, so each student influences what topics and areas get covered. However, I also give weight to the things that I know are necessary for them to be successful.
My past experience
For just over a year before the pandemic I set up a Study Hub that would every Sunday tutor children aged 7-16 in Maths, Science and English. I supervised the tuition of about 20 students with the assistance of 3 tutors and personally tutored 5 children.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement was earning a full academic and sports scholarship to a private school for sixth form. This is my proudest achievement because my parents were able to relax knowing I was getting top-tier education and sporting opportunities, and also because I saw how it inspired my cousins to take their education more seriously, as they now knew that it could lead to some very real opportunities.
