1About Me
As a bilingual educator fluent in Mandarin and English, I bring a unique and valuable perspective to the lessons. I hold professional certifications, including the Certificate of Qualification to Teach Mandarin Chinese as a Second Language from the Ministry of Education, and the Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from the Taipei Language Institute. I am dedicated to delivering the best possible education, tailoring it to the individual needs of each student.
Since 2014, I have been continually developing my skills by teaching students of all ages and backgrounds, from primary school children to teenagers and adults. My teaching approach is highly adaptable, allowing me to create personalised lesson plans that address diverse learning styles and pace. I am committed to ongoing assessment and feedback to ensure each student’s progress, and I am passionate about using creative teaching methods to inspire and engage learners. My mission is to build confidence and a lifelong love of learning in every student I teach.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered and adaptable. I focus on creating personalized lesson plans tailored to individual learning styles, using creative and interactive methods to make lessons engaging and enjoyable. Regular assessments, detailed feedback, and constructive support are central to my approach, ensuring consistent progress and confidence-building. By incorporating games, innovative activities, and interactive elements, I strive to provide a positive environment that motivates students and nurtures their passion for learning. My goal is to inspire every student to reach their full potential while making the learning process both effective and enjoyable.
My past experience
I have extensive experience in teaching and tutoring. Since 2014, I have worked with students of various ages and abilities, particularly focusing on primary school children. My expertise lies in providing personalized tutoring sessions that cater to individual learning styles, creating flexible lesson plans aligned with educational standards, and addressing specific student goals.
During my time at the Chinese School Netherlands, I developed individualized learning plans, conducted regular assessments, and offered detailed feedback to track student progress. This approach allowed me to identify areas of improvement quickly and implement targeted interventions. My goal has always been to create a positive, engaging, and motivating learning environment that fosters confidence and a love for learning.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement is teaching at Tamkang University, where I had the opportunity to guide a group of 12 students from diverse countries and learning backgrounds. Starting from the basics, I designed engaging, fun, and relevant lessons tailored to their unique needs. By assigning meaningful homework and offering personalized assistance, I created an environment that encouraged active participation and consistent growth. Through this approach, I was thrilled to see all my students progress to the next level with excellent scores. Witnessing their improvement and enjoyment of the lessons brought me immense pride and a deep sense of fulfillment as a Chinese teacher.
