About Me
I’m currently studying biomedical science at queen mary and I have a passion for STEM and getting students interested in STEM. I believe studying STEM subjects is beneficial as it teaches transferable life skills and helps build confidence and character. I am also currently a GCSE tutor for STEM subjects and I want to widen my experience by teaching more people. I like to use active recall in my teaching method as it’s scientifically proven to reap great results in terms of memory. I also think past paper questions are the best in terms of practice for STEM exams. Furthermore I like teaching and explaining how I remembered things and what helped me through my exams so that other students can benefit from those methods and make their exam season easier. I like to advise students not academically but also how to build your future in terms of life skills and career knowledge as it’s hard not knowing how to navigate that especially uni life.
My teaching style
I like to teach one topic students struggle on verbally and get them to make notes from what they’ve remembered from what I’ve said. Then we go over it and add missing information in different colour.
