About Me
Hi I’m George, a final year medic at Cambridge University. I have been tutoring with MedicMind for the past 2 years and have seen a very high success with my tutees. In particular, I specialise in medical admissions tests and Oxbridge interviews. I am also able to share the deeper details of the Oxbridge experience, having received a triple first class honours in my undergraduate degree.
My previous academic record is strong. I received 10A* at GCSE and 3A* at A-level. My EPQ project also was granted special recognition by the head of my 6th form.
Within my degree, I am currently completing an elective placement at Great Ormond Street Hospital for children in London. Here I am shadowing a plastic surgeon and then a neurosurgeon over the summer. I am also completing a project analysing the performance of Cambridge’s hospitals with regards to children’s health.
I enjoy playing tennis in my free-time and spend time with my partner around London. In particular, we like to sample the latest restaurants (especially Spanish food!).
My teaching style
I teach using examples and case-studies, supplemented with occasional theory. I encourage my students to understand the concepts and principles of what they are learning, rather than simply memorising answers. To do this, I place a high emphasis on diving deep into the subject.
