About Me
Hi! I am a friendly and dynamic student who just finished up my first year studying History and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford. I have experience mentoring students for the university admissions process and can give advice on humanities personal statements and interviews. I can also tutor, based on my own experience sitting these exams, the Oxford history admission test (HAT) and the Language aptitude test (LAT), I have lot of strategies in these that helped me do really well in the admission process and by working through pat materials can build techniques with students to ensure they do really well. I would also be interested in tutoring History, Philosophy (especially eduqas/WJEC) or French A Level, all of which I got A* in, I am a native French speaker and have experience tutoring French.
My teaching style
I believe in a very collaborative teaching style, helping to students reach answers for themselves without being given the answer, while providing plenty of support. I believe the best way to learn is by using past materials and through active recall.
My past experience
I have volunteered as a mentor for the admissions process, giving advice on personal statements and the interview process. I have also done GCSE French tutor.
