About Me
I achieved First Class Honours in Modern Languages (Spanish) at the University of Oxford. Since then, I have also gained a Masters in Hispanic Studies with Distinction from the University of Edinburgh. I recently completed my PhD in Hispanic and Latin American Studies at the University of Nottingham, for which I received full funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council.
I have experience teaching Spanish language and literature at the universities of Nottingham and Aberdeen. I have also taught English as a foreign language to business professionals in Argentina, during my undergraduate year abroad.
I enjoy working with students, identifying areas for improvement, and finding new ways to communicate concepts that they have previously struggled with. I am passionate about language and literature.
My teaching style
I work with the student to identify their specific needs and areas for improvement. If a student is struggling with a particular task or assignment, we can start with the question and think about how to address it. If there’s a more overarching problem, such as an aspect of grammar they are having problems with, I will seek new ways of explaining and develop relevant exercises for the student to practice.
My past experience
I have taught Spanish language and literature at the Universities of Nottingham and Aberdeen. I also have experience teaching English as a foreign language.
