8About Me
Hi, I’m Varun
I currently study Computer Science at the University of Cambridge, having achieved near perfect grades in both IGCSE and IB. I have previously succeeded in both the BMO and come top 50 in the country in the BPhO, and I’m therefore perfect to tutor anyone to success in Maths, Physics and Computer Science.
Due to technology being a long-standing interest of mine (for the better part of a decade) I have extensive knowledge on a wide variety of topics, especially those that show up in personal statements and those ready to impress any admissions tutors. I have moderate to extensive experience in upwards of 10 programming languages, and experience developing in a wide array of fields in both personal projects and in a commercial environment.
I would love to assist those looking to ace their secondary school exams and/or university admissions so feel free to contact me if you would like my help.
My teaching style
I generally introduce concepts through problems where those concepts are necessary, allowing the student to work it out themselves intuitively, greatly increasing the chance of remembering it long term as well as practicing interview skills. For improving on concepts that aren’t new, I prefer to work through problems using the same concept in different concepts, improving pattern recognition and long-term memory.
