About Me

My name is Thrasiya Sebastian, also known as Tess. I hold a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from Anglia Ruskin University in the UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science and Chemistry from a university in India. As part of my undergraduate studies, I completed an internship with the Kerala Police, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in forensic science applications, including crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and basic laboratory procedures. This experience further fueled my interest in forensic science and its role in the justice system. I have two years of experience teaching Chemistry and Forensic Science, during which I developed a strong passion for education. I am currently pursuing the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Teaching, which is enhancing my skills in curriculum planning, learner engagement, and inclusive teaching practices. I have already completed the Level 3 Award in Education and Training, laying a strong foundation for my teaching career. As a teacher, I am friendly, approachable, and committed to creating an inclusive, student-centred environment. I strive to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging for all learners by using real-life examples, interactive methods, and differentiated instruction. I enjoy encouraging students to think critically and explore their curiosity, and I am always eager to support their personal and academic growth. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love for learning and help every student reach their full potential.

My teaching style

My teaching style is clear, patient, and supportive. I break down complex ideas into simple, relatable concepts using real-world examples. I adapt to different learning speeds and styles, whether visual, verbal, or hands-on. I encourage curiosity, ask guiding questions, and explain things step by step to build confidence and understanding. I aim to create a safe, judgment-free space where it’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them. I also make learning engaging by connecting topics to things you’re genuinely interested in.
