About Me
My name is June, and I am currently a third-year student at UNSW Medicine. Having graduated from Asia Pacific International School Korea in 2021 and subsequently relocated to Australia to pursue my medical studies, I understand the intricacies and challenges of the university admissions process from a unique perspective. Drawing from my successful navigation of university entry and my experience as a tutor at an SAT academy, I am well-positioned to assist international students aspiring to study Medicine at Australian universities.
I offer comprehensive guidance in preparing for critical admissions exams such as the SAT, TOEFL, and ISAT, as well as training for Australian medical school interviews. I am acutely aware of the stress associated with this process, and I prioritize your time and energy throughout our engagement. I am enthusiastic about sharing the strategies and insights that have contributed to my own success, and I am committed to helping you achieve your academic and professional goals.
My teaching style
My teaching style is student-centered and adaptive, emphasizing personalized learning and active engagement. I believe that each student has unique strengths and areas for growth, and my approach is designed to tailor instruction to meet individual needs. I begin by assessing each student’s current understanding and goals, allowing me to customize lessons that address specific challenges and leverage their strengths.
In my sessions, I prioritize interactive learning and practical application. For example, when preparing for exams like the SAT, TOEFL, or ISAT, I use a variety of teaching methods including problem-solving exercises, mock tests, and real-life scenarios to enhance comprehension and retention. This hands-on approach not only helps students grasp complex concepts but also builds their confidence.
Additionally, I incorporate regular feedback and reflective practices to ensure continuous improvement. By fostering a supportive and encouraging environment, I aim to motivate students and make the learning process engaging and effective. My goal is to empower students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their academic pursuits and beyond.
My past experience
Yes, I was a teacher’s assistant at ALTO education in South Korea.
My Proudest Achievements
Getting my goal SAT score is definitely my proudest achievement. It was a real test of my hard work and dedication. I put in countless hours studying, taking practice tests, and analyzing my results to improve. When I finally saw the score I had been aiming for on my second try, it felt like all that effort had paid off in a big way. Not only did it open doors for me to enter a top medical program, but it also boosted my confidence in my ability to set goals and achieve them. It was a moment that showed me just how much you can accomplish with focus and determination.
