About Me
Hi! I’m a passionate and dedicated nursing student who discovered my love for healthcare after starting work at 16 in New Zealand. Since then, nursing has become more than just a career path, it’s a true calling. Outside the classroom, I’m a competitive swimmer and love playing badminton to stay active and balanced. I was actively involved in school societies such as the Environment Society and Leaders of Tomorrow, which helped me grow as a team player and leader. I enjoy connecting with others, learning new skills, and making a positive impact wherever I can. I tried to do that through my work, my part-time job at times and even on a day-to-day basis, that’s why I believe me starting my tutoring again is going to get me back to my roots and also bring me the joy that I experienced when I was tutoring a year agoI’m excited to meet you all!
My teaching style
My teaching style is interactive and supportive. I ask lots of questions throughout to check understanding, not just at the end. Each session includes exam-style questions with exemplar answers to guide students on how to structure their responses. I use plenty of visual aids and provide clear notes, worksheets, and regular homework to help reinforce learning. I believe in creating a space where students feel confident to ask questions and build real exam-level skills step by step.
My past experience
I have been teaching and tutoring since the age of 16, I started off tutoring younger students when I was in high school, this was the school that I was in, this was done during lunch break and even after school which was monitored by the teachers themselves! Outside of high school I tooted online so I have a lot of experience with virtual teaching and I did that for about three years.
My Proudest Achievements
My proudest achievement I would say was when I received academic excellence throughout my year one tier three of NCEA exam, getting offers for more than five top universities within Australia and New Zealand!
