About Me
Hi guys! I’m Elakya and I’m really excited to offer personalised tutoring to help you succeed in becoming a medical student and future doctor!
I’m in my third year of medical school at Imperial College London, and have absolutely loved it so far. I found it challenging navigating the medical school application process on my own three years ago, and have picked up lots of tips and tricks that will help you in your application. With a strong background in interview skills, having received 4 out of 4 offers, and BMAT (19A) & UCAT (3140) performance, I understand how best to boost your application.
I also know that everyone learns differently. With the wealth of resources available on the internet, it can be overwhelming and difficult to know where to go. I’m here to the provide guidance and support you need. I strive to create a positive and motivating environment for my students. With me, this tough process is made into an enjoyable one.
I can’t wait to start working with you to help achieve your goals!
My teaching style
My teaching style centres around the student! It’s incredibly important to me that I explore the student’s learning style with them and tailor lessons around that. Building on existing strengths and constructing new ones is key in my lessons. This helps you to get the most out of every single session.
I focus on creating an atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. This builds their confidence to help face any challenges the application process throws at them.
