About Me
I am a first-class undergraduate at Queens’ College, Cambridge, with extensive tutoring experience spanning over 5 years and a deep passion for teaching. I achieved 4 A*s at A-Level and 11 grade 9s at GCSE, and have experience teaching a wide variety of age ranges and disciplines. I have tutored A-level mathematics, Economics, History and Business Studies alongside Oxbridge Application Preparation, Personal Statement guidance and Mock Interviewing. My students have received offers from top universities including the LSE, Imperial College London, Oxford and Cambridge. I work hard to tailor content holistically to each student and make my tutorials as engaging as possible. I strongly believe that with diligence and a personalised teaching experience, any student can achieve incredible results.
My teaching style
My teaching style is proactive, pupil-centered, and highly tailored to each student’s unique needs. I believe in anticipating challenges before they arise and actively engaging students in the learning process. By focusing on a student-centric approach, I prioritize the student’s unique learning style, academic interests, and pace, ensuring that each session is both effective and valued. I tailor my lessons to address specific areas for improvement while also reinforcing strengths, creating a personalized learning experience.
My past experience
I have extensive experience teaching across various disciplines, particularly in preparing students for applications to both Cambridge and Oxford. My expertise includes a strong focus on guiding students through the application process, with a particular focus in Land Economy. I have successfully assisted students in drafting compelling personal statements and provided targeted interview preparation, ensuring they present themselves confidently and effectively. My personal experience in the Land Economy interview process has given me a valuable insight into applicant screening, allowing me to offer students tailored guidance that significantly enhances their chances of success.
My Proudest Achievements
One of my proudest achievements is the work I did in my local community from 2018 to 2022, where I volunteered weekly to teach English, Latin, and introductory Chinese to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This experience was incredibly rewarding as it allowed me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young learners who otherwise might not have had access to these educational opportunities. Seeing the students grow in confidence and develop a passion for learning languages was immensely fulfilling, and it reinforced my commitment to education and my belief in the power of knowledge to transform lives.
